ok...im not really understanding what you're getting at here. Should he be fired for averaging 10 wins a season?
Larry Coker averaged 10 wins a season. When Miles has another 8 or 9 win season this year, will you still be saying that? How bout next year?

You won't have to worry about that 10 win average soon.
Im not "worried" about anything.
If he wins 7 or less games we likely get a new coach and then i'll be pulling for the new guy...if we win 8 or more, Miles likely stays and i'll keep on doing what im doing. Im not going to lose sleep either way. I think we win 9 or 10 and the West.

Carroll beat Arkansas by a combined score of 120-31
So Saban should have never lost to them then, right? Especially with a SECCG berth on the line?

You're delusional if you think 9 wins wins the west. You're probably delusional anyway. Bama takes it a third straight year.

Obviously not since he'll no longer be averaging 10 wins dumbass.

Saban's proven he an go undefeated in the SEC. How bout Miles?

Miles has lost as many games in the last two years as Carroll did in seven years from 2002 through 2008
Did Carroll not coach USC last year? Why besides to fit your biases agenda did you ommit that season. You and your ilk are so goddamn intellectually dishonest it makes me sick. Most are just stupid and can't help themselves, but you can, which makes you the worst of all of them.

I totally agree with this statement. I enjoy LSU sports unlike many of the miserable human beings on this board.

Look, "dumbass", the context of the statement clearly meant you defending Miles by pointing to his record. Of course, context means nothing to you since you compare Saban taking over losing programs at Bama and LSU to what Miles inherited at LSU.

Keep moving those goalposts, you fricking douche. I concede that Saban is a better coach than Miles. But only a fricking retard would conclude that Miles < Saban = Miles sucks. That's is just fricking atrocious logic. Are you not smart enough to see this?

i know the difference...ive never said otherwise. But im not having a discussion about Saban...if you want to talk about him go back to the SEC rant.

I didn't use that as my logic, ya fricking douche. But I can see how reading comprehension isn't your thing. I brought up Saban b/c you did (losing to Arkansas). Now, as far as Miles sucks goes. It doesn't matter if a coach, "sucks" or not. Its about his competition. Miles is clearly behind his competition right now. In fact, he's dead even with Mark Richt (Same record the last two years). If a coach isn't good enough to consistently beat out who he needs to to win the conference (and face it, Miles can't even consistently beat out Houston Nutt) then what good is he? Unless of course you're goal isn't to win the conference but to get 8 or 9 wins and play in a second rate bowl.

Carrol also played in the Pac 10. The gap between the talent at USC and the rest of the conference was MUCH, MUCH greater than LSU and Ole Miss, Arkansas, UGA, Penn State.
Don't even try that tired old excuse. Yes, the SEC is tougher than the Pac Ten, but not to the point that a coach in the SEC should be losing the same number of games in two years that a coach in the Pac Ten loses in seven years. And yes, USC had a bigger talent gap because they recruited well enough to have it. If we can't establish a sufficient talent gap between ourselves and Ole Miss/Arkie to go better than 1-3 (with the one win being in OT at home) against them, then we need to recruit and retain players better than Miles is doing.
quote:
You're kidding yourself if you think LSU is heads and shoulders above everyone else talent wise....especially at QB and o-line, where it counts the most.
If we're not head and shoulders above Ole Miss and Arkansas in talent, then we are not recruiting well and the head coach should be fired.
Either our recruiting sucks, or our coaching sucks. Either way, it's the coach's fault and he needs to go.

We need to sign Les to a lifetime contract
Guy is all class and a players coach

Carrol lost 4 games last year...all in conference. Why are you throwing out last year?

It is possible for teams to improve.

USC is a top 3 all-time program located in LOS frickING ANGELES. You are not this stupid, Nuts. Quit being so intellectually dishonest.

So you have taken Miles worst 2 years, yet omitted Carroll's worst 2. Seems fair.

Okay we'll do it this way. Les has bad years 2 out of every 5. Pete has bad years 2 out of every 10
