It's worse than that, actually. If it were just that it gives people more reason to think that folks down there aren't playing with a full deck, it wouldn't be so bad. It also gives the moronic news media (based primarily in the Northeast--so Louisianians have no monopoly on stupid) something to seize on and blow up into a major "story" whenever they're haveing a slow news day--which is most of the time, given the number of cable, radio and internet "news" outlets.

Do tell, Mrs. Choctaw Miles.

week in and week out does not equate to 4 or 5 games. Every team has bad weeks...USC was notorious for losing to inferior competition. Is Carrol a shitty coach?

Miles has lost as many games in the last two years as Carroll did in seven years from 2002 through 2008. So, no, Carroll is not a shitty coach. Miles lost at least five games to opponents with inferior talent over the last two years, and that's giving him the benefit of the doubt on Alabama in 2008. Ole Miss twice, Arkansas, Georgia and Penn State were not more talented than LSU, and if they were, he should be fired for not recruiting well enough to have more talent than fricking Arkansas and Ole Miss.

3 pass plays from the 31 with a kicker than can hit from 57. 17 seconds gone without a stoppage in play. "clock it". he became he national punchline. u wont find a single cfb pundit that gives him praise. what we feared is coming to fruition.

Carrol also played in the Pac 10. The gap between the talent at USC and the rest of the conference was MUCH, MUCH greater than LSU and Ole Miss, Arkansas, UGA, Penn State. You're kidding yourself if you think LSU is heads and shoulders above everyone else talent wise....especially at QB and o-line, where it counts the most.

If you want to get technical, of the 15 opponents Mile's has lost to, tennessee in 05, and Arky and Kaintuck from 07 can be added to that list

Or many football fans from around the country. I am absolutely amazed by the comments about Miles that I encounter from all over the country when I wear an LSU shirt or hat (which is often). First they laugh...then the crap starts flying.

For the apologist that spout the 51 wins, NC, SECC etc..., why is it I never hear any of those things when anyone engages me in a conversation about LSU football?

I will re-state what a poster said a few pages back.

For 4 million a year in Baton Rouge's cost of living, you can treat me as unfair as you want.

It was in response to your point that he would have struggled with the talent level of mid tier sec teams like Miles has done. Choctaw, when Miles wins 8 or 9 games this year, will we need to put you under a suicide watch?

WTF are you rambling about? That is the point. He pointed out Arky...i pointed out Stanford. Every team has bad weeks...doesn't make the coach shitty. Mack Brown came a 1/2 second from losing a bid to the NC only because his QB threw when he did.

i doubt this. I live in Texas and i never hear shite when i wear my LSU stuff. And outside the SEC...no one hates LSU more than A&M and UT fans.
