No one was talking JR up, until after the Notre Dame game, so pulling him in order to win either game was not unthinkable

Yeah it was sorta completely and unequivocally unthinkable.

Yay for losing to Bama 4 times in a row
Posted on 11/18/14 at 6:37 pm to inadaze
Bama didnt win the west in 2013.
Since 2005 bama does not have as many wins as lsu. Only boise st and they arent a p5 team. Ohio state vacated.

Knowledgeable fans know that losing over 3,000 yards of offense meant we were gonna struggle this year
WEll thanks captain obvious.. I have seen nobody in this thread that thought LSU this year was gonna be better on offense than last year....

Since 2005 no program has been ranked in the top 25 more. Not 2008

Explain the lost last year to Alabama

They were better than lsu. Again, Bama is better program than lsu. Any program that measure itself against bama comes up short.

So we should be ok with always being second fiddle to Bama from now until Saban leaves?
Kinda shitty

Its called reality. Every program in cfb is second fiddle to bama. I dont like it anymore than you but its reality. Until saban leaves, bama isnt slowing down.

Serious question here... Who would YOU rather have the last 4 years as HC??? Saban or Miles..........

It took until Tuesday for the pumpers to show up. Not too shabby.

Since this thread is just about facts and not opinions, I have a few more you can add to the OP. These are off the top of my head, so let me know if any are inaccurate.
TIA.
7. First SEC coach to fail to lead his team to victory in the national championship game
8. Only coach to fail to lead his team to a single point in the national championship game
9. Only coach to fail to lead his team to 100 yards of total offense in the national championship game
10. Only coach to fail to lead his team across the 50 yard line before there were 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter of the national championship game
11. First coach to fail to lead his team to victory against Arkansas in a conference game in over 2 years
12. First coach to fail to lead Lsu to a victory over Mississippi state in 15 years
13. Only coach to be caught on video telling his quarterback to spike the ball in a situation where a spike would be the last play of the game, then lie in his post game interview to say he never told the quarterback to spike it**
**Admittedly, I have not watched the post game interview of every coach of every game in the history of football, so it's possible this may be incorrect.

how many of the teams listed above backed into a title with 2 losses?
This is a stupid argument. Using this logic, Saban has backed into every national championship game, but one. Saban only has one undefeated regular season, the same as Les Miles.

No, he's not stupid. He's providing rudimentary facts. What are you doing, spewing propaganda??

Here's another fact (Jax): you can only ride your record for so long. When you quit producing or start noticeably trending down, you have to answer for it. The unemployment lines are littered with once great performers from sales to CEOs who had tremendous records but were held accountable for losses an lack of growth. Miles gets no pass for this season. Especially since it appears his downturn is due to his own inabilities. At some point everyone has to be accountable.

What it boils down to is that we can barely throw a God damned pass, and our coach makes over 4mil per year, and our team has only two scholarship qb's on the roster.
It's one thing, if it doesn't negatively effect the team, but it does, and I would venture to say that it's the primary reason for all of our losses.
With a coach who apparently recruits among the best, and makes as much as he makes, one would think that he would be able to find a qb who can cause the defense to at least respect the passing game.
What Les has given us on offense is not acceptable.
