Too bad he couldn't win in double digits during the regular season. He was 1 of 5..

He's also pulled 2 back to back undefeated regular seasons at Bama and won 14 games last year.

Good for Bama??

Iowa achieved 47 net yards(82 without the losses figured in) on the ground, according to stats on LSUsports.net. We didn't get run all over.

But, he was 2 for 5 in double digit win seasons at LSU altogether. I cut him some slack for having taking over a program that only won 7 games the two years before he got to LSU and had to fire it's head coach and most of the coaching staff, in addition to losing 8 games in a row the year the coach got fired. Pretty pathetic. It was going to take some time for his replacement to get all of the issues plaguing the program addressed. Our beloved program was certainly not in the condition that folk were expecting us to win the SEC in Saban's first season. Far from it.

Speaking of DiNardo, one of my bro in law's and sister are going to Indianapolis and Bloomington next weekend. I told them to stop in the local DeAngelos to check on DiNardo and if he was there, to ask him if Tiger Stadium is the greatest place on Earth.

I want Miles to do the same thing at LSU. I'm waiting.

It's insufficient. You had to pad his wins with a bowl game.

I don't.

Miles wins more games, posts double digit seasons, without the bowl game padding & goes for the jugular much more than Saban ever did.

To you. I'm unconcerned with what you consider insufficient.

Whether I added the bowl game or not, he still did a heck of a job, considering the condition of the program when he took over. Any time a team loses 8 games in a row and has to fire it's coach, the program has issues, especially when the offense is averaging 20 points/game.

I don't.

I don't see how anyone wouldn't want Miles to have back to back undefeated regular seasons. Are you sure you are an LSU fan?

But, he wins fewer SEC titles. He needs to work on that.

Who he dislikes is irrelevant. Emmert and the boys decided we'd be better off without him.

That "Terrible" NFL talent laden team, kicked the sh*t out of a ranked Arkansas team with an Assistant coach named Hal Hunter....correct?

I want to see a fair game. I don't want to see Saban & his pack of "Boosters", paying off refs not to call Offensive Holding for 8 straight games.

Ole Miss has a 2003 SEC West banner flying. You want to be like them?

Actually, the one that lost to Houston at home the week before, solidifying our 8th loss in a row. It was so bad that Emmert and the boys decided to terminate his employment.

No, I want him to go to more SEC title games in ATlanta and win.

Lot of folk are good people. Wins/losses are the ultimate measuring stick.

The 3 he went to. It would have been nice to be bowl eligible in 1998 and 1999 but thanks to DiNardo and his bad decisions, that didn't happen.

Gerry quit. He told "The Boys" to stick it where the sun don't shine, before the season started.

All LSU true fans want to play in he SECCG.

Maybe mighty midget will trade us Vandy for Florida every year?

I agree. Miles wins the debate in this thread, using your own words.

It would have been nice to beat UAB, or not get massacred at VT to start the season in 2002. Saban's bad decisions kept LSU out of Limelight for too many years. *Note of appreciation to Geddy Lee of RUSH *

Saban's decisions allowed us to win a national title game, something we had not in decades prior to his arrival.

Gerry's decisions led to his termination and a bad stint as head coach at IU in Bloomington, where he now makes Italian food.

You boy Saban, has been coaching Alabumble 4 seasons, has been 1 time.

1 of 4. Are you posting "Double Standards" again?

He won a BCSS title anyway, the other part going to USC, due to his bad decisions against Ron Zook.

Yes, he stressed academics...and that didnt sit well with "The Boys".

Nothing wrong with earning an honest living & striving to be one of the best at it in Bloomington.

How so? Saban went to 2 different teams that had losing seasons prior to his arrival and won national titles at each. Where is the fail ???

I am so tired of all the "so called LSU fans" that want to put Saban down b/c he is at Bama. HE LEFT LSU FOR THE NFL! He came to LSU and built us into the program we all had only dreamed was possible. If you can't accept the fact that he deserves praise for doing so you're just retarded. Just because I am thankful for everything he did at LSU doesn't mean I don't hope LSU kicks the crap out of Bama every year. I will always feel he should be praised by LSU fans so get over the fact that he left for one of the best job offers a head coach on ANY level has ever been offered and respect what he did here. Are all of you such simpletons that you can't respect Saban and be a Miles supporter? I bet Miles is very appreciative of what Saban started here.

I gave Miles grief since he wasn't respected like Saban but his loyalty has won me over but it still doesn't make him a better coach than Saban. They are completely different. But the bottomline is fanbases outside of LSU and most experts will say Saban is a better coach and it isn't even close. Why do Miles supporters take offense to that?

Gosh, you say that like LSU had no football history of winning before NS came to BR.

LSU had like the 12th or 13th most wins in NCAA history and was 2 yrs removed from winning 3 straight bowl games before NS signed on with LSU.

I'm not knocking NS cause he is a fine coach football coach, but he didn't build LSU. imo
