So, we only played one FCS team while Pelini was here?

quote:

I said before if you think Pelini's defenses were as strong as Saban/Muschamp defenses your a dumb son of a bitch. end of story.

I'm looking at facts, bud. The 2001 and 2002 defenses weren't that good. And both 2005 and 2006 defenses were better than every Nick Saban defense except the 2003 defense. That's a fact. You are just in denial.

I'm in denial, I'll take a Saban/Muschamp defense anyday over Pelini's, they don't let teams move the ball at will, they don't let QB's sit in the pocket all day, and they don't keep the games in doubt until the very end.

But, more than likely will give up more points. Points apparently don't matter to you.

So, how many FCS teams did we actually play when Pelini was here?

I'm guessing someone didn't watch the Sugar Bowl last year, and didn't see Utah's QB sitting in the pocket untouched all night long, throwing over Tide defensive backs for 31 points.

Too bad, you missed a good game. By the Utah offense.

you can go back and look at the schedules yourself and see that Pelini's defensive teams shut down the weaker Div schools ,but struggled against the big schools, stats don't tell the whole story.

You think I mean Pelini's?

I'm talking about what the defense was like from 2000-2004 at LSU.

How many points did Bama give up in 2007? I'll tell ya: 286 points. More than any Pelini coached defense at LSU.

They gave up 200 points this year, which is still more than the 2005 and 2006 Pelini LSU defense.

All I'm asking you is to tell me how many D-II teams we played while Pelini was here. You apparently don't want to do that. Why?

testament to a good coaching job because Bama def doesn't have LSU caliber athletes, if Saban had those athletes LSU did on defense, what do you think his defense would have been like?

Apparently VT, OSU, ND, Florida, Alabama, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Miami, Auburn, Arizona, and South Carolina are weak schools

Let the argument go, you're making a fool of yourself

Irrelevant. In other words, you are stuck. Now tell me how many D-II schools we faced when Pelini was here.

Alabama was 1 year removed from a top 10 season when Saban got there, and the SEC was down last season.
