With a win tomorrow he'll hit #50 at LSU. He could end up with 55 wins in 5 seasons (an average of 11 a year).

Looking at list of previous LSU coaches, I don't remember anyone after Dietzel (if he did) quitting LSU for another college job.

Depends.
If he begins a trend of being Saban and Meyers bitch - meaning he loses to Saban tomorrow and both coaches again next year then yes, he is toast. We are not paying him that kind of money for the bronze metal.
If he can win some against those guys, then he will be here for a while. Doesn't guarantee another SEC Title or BCS Title, but as long as he wins against those who are considered the top of the profession he will be around for a while.
