So you're telling me you wanted Lee to come back in? You felt that Lee could have won that game for us? Honestly.

Lee wasn't playing well.

he played bad no doubt. he was throwing to a spot instead of reading the D. those were not timing routes and he still just chcuked it into coverage.bad decision making. shoulda checked down or threw it away.

He will see much less pt, he might start 1 more game, but will lose the starting job. This is not a shock to me. Was its right to bench him Immediately after that 1st pick? I don't know, we will see if it has an affect on Lee's confidence as the season progresses. It's about Winning, not players emotions. I've seen JJ play like shite on many occasions and not get the hook. Miles prefers JJ, always has, that's obvious. I'd be crazy to 2nd guess CLM, his record speaks for itself

Les didn't bench Lee, he benched the pass play
Thank you!
I am no JJ fan, but Miles didn't have much of a choice. JL is a pocket passer, and our WRs were being blanketed by Bama's secondary. Lee had nowhere to go with the ball.
The staff saw pretty clearly they had to abandon that game plan. I like JL but his skills were not working because Bama's secondary made it so. Had to go with a running threat, and I'm surprised as much as another the option worked.
