This is Percy Peabody tellin’ you it’s time for Leonard’s Losers with Leonard Postoasties, the world’s greatest football prognosticator. Tell ’em about it, Leonard.
Well thank you Percy, and howdy football fans. The little smart-pill machine rattled and hummed all week tryin’ to sort out this Saturday night catfight down in Baton Rouge. Two bunches of Tigers, two Death Valleys, and enough purple and orange to make a sunset jealous.
Dabo Swinney loads up his Pickens Pussycats and hauls ’em west from the hills of South Carolina, lookin’ to prove the old Death Valley still has some teeth left after last year’s 17-10 skinnin’ on their own grass. Lane Kiffin’s Bayou Bengals, freshly stocked from the transfer market and hungry to roar in their own concrete jungle, wait under the lights with a double-digit spread and a packed house that’ll try to rattle every last orange helmet.
The Pussycats come in with a new quarterback still findin’ his whiskers and an offense that spent last year lookin’ like it forgot where the end zone was hid. The Bengals got a new skipper who don’t mind shoppin’ the portal like it’s a Saturday flea market, plus home-field noise that once made folks call the place Deaf Valley before they settled on Death. One side’s been built patient and homegrown; the other just got rebuilt in a hurry. Saturday night in the swamp usually favors the fellas who already know where the alligators sleep.
Leonard's Loser... Clemson.
Get me outta here, Percy.
