Please leave the flags flying in CF. Not all fans enter the stadium through the main gates, so they will not always be seen by all. Flying them during the games where the fans can see them is a reminder, while daydreaming during a 3 hour game, of those great teams.

When they do move it, you better believe that LSU will make Lamar put a digital board out there so that they can constantly change it with advertising. Just wait.

There is going to be a big Coke ad right in the middle of it...

The old Box had the retired jerseys on the centerfield wall. Will they bring these into the new box?

Excellent question!
That was brought up last night. Coach M said that only two baseball numbers have been officially 'retired'....Ben McDonald's and Skip Bertman's.
Wally Pontiff's and the other one whose name escapes me now are not really retired. They were put up on the outfield fence but were not retired, although no one has worn either of those numbers since they were put up on the fence in the old Box.
He thinks that Ben's and Skip's numbers will be officially recognized somewhere in the new Box as being 'retired' but he does not think the other two will be. He said the athletic department is currently developing guidelines for retiring numbers, including the number of an athlete who passes away while he or she is an active member of a team, like Wally.

Thanks for asking the question. I forgot to put that in the original post so I've edited it to include your question.
