Come fall, Barrow will be at MLB, Kwon at strong, and one of the Jones at weak side. Never been impressed with T Jones and I think by the 5th game we will see more Debo than T Jones.

Will not be denied. I think he will impress this year.

Haha awesome picture.

And I get that everyone likes T Jones. Underrated player out of high school from Sulphur. But I just don't see him being better than Debo. It's either 50% timeshare depending on game scenarios, or its all Debo IMO.

TJones and Kwon both play SAM.

I don't see TJones not starting.

Our linebacking core is going to be SALTY for years to come. Debo has incredible closing speed, and Kwon is always in the right place. The instincts he showed last year were incredible for a true frosh

i'm sure Tahj could pick up the weakside position in a snap. He is a quick learner.

So you would have T Jones starting over Kwon?? And what have you seen from T Jones to think that? I think he's the only guy that has the chance of being overtaken by 1 of the young LBs. Kwon is already ahead of him, and sounds like Debo is even with him or just right behind him. If Debo puts on some more weight during summer workouts, he could pass him and never give the spot back.

They are both playing SAM at the moment with Welter at MLB and Barrow at weak side. When they move Barrow to MLB, that opens up the weak side LB. and T Jones is better suited for the weak side considering his size and the emergence of Kwon. Not to mention that is what Kwon played last year and in the few games we saw him it was evident that he is just flat out more talented and better than T Jones. And he's already added 20 lbs so far this spring. Barrow and Kwon are the top 2 LBs in the roster. Kwon is better suited for the SLB, and T Jones is better suited for weak side.

I mean at the moment, Kwon isn't even running with the 1s because they gave Welter a shot. And besides Barrow, he's our best LB. Come fall, Barrow will be at the MLB, Kwon as SLB, and one of the Jones at weak side. And I think mid way through the season we will see more of Debo than T Jones.

that still makes him a pretty deficient MLB.

I'm just saying that Chavis has always loved TJones and still does. And Chavis has always played TJones at SAM.

I look for Kwon and/or Deion to play a lot. But I won't be surprised if one does not start.

I gotcha. And I agree.

But T Jones has play SAM when Barrow is at weak side. When Barrow shits to MLB, that will open up the weak side. And T Jones is suited better to play weak side than Kwon. And Kwon is suited to play SAM. Kwon and Barrow are our top 2 LBs. Then it's a timeshare at weak side for the 2 Jones depending on opponent, and game scenarios.

As long as Welter only plays mop up duty I'm good.

the Sam in Chavis D has normally been the smaller, safety-sized guy. see Harry, Stef Francois, and Tahj (and that's actually where Hatcher was gonna be in 2011 initially).
