Byrd didn't lose any money coming back, he had one year in CFB. He just failed to earn more.

he was a borderline 1st round pick after last year

now he's not even guaranteed to be drafted. he lost a lot of money

Devin Thomas was taken at the very top of the 2nd round last year and he was a JUCO transfer with 1 year in a BCS conference. he was drafted based on his physical tools more than his 1 year of production (he was really raw)

Byrd's physical abilities > Devin Thomas' physical abilities, so one could argue it's very likely he could have gone ahead of thomas

Davis was a reach as pretty much everyone but the chargers agreed.

Maybe. But looking back now it would have been a dumb move for a team to take him that high. How many balls did he drop this year, and he copped an attitude when things didn't go his way.

there isn't even a #1 WR prospect this year

Your crazy their is a ton of very good wr coming out this year JoJO is good but he would def improve his stock if he stayed one more year with an improved qb situation he should come back. The rookie salary cap would be the only concern and thats not even for sure.
