Lady Techsters hire former LSU basketball player, LaSondra Barrett as a new assistant

RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech head coach Brooke Stoehr announced Monday the addition of former LSU star LaSondra Barrett to the Lady Techster coaching staff.

Barrett joins the Lady Techster staff after spending the past year at LSU as the director of player development and the previous season at FIU as an assistant coach.

“We are excited to welcome LaSondra to Louisiana Tech and the Lady Techster family,” said Stoehr. “It became evident through the process LaSondra would be a great fit for our students and staff. LaSondra has a strong desire to help students grow and develop both on and off the court. She has tremendous experience as a player both collegiately and professionally that will be a huge resource for our current and future students.

“There is a familiarity with the league from her time in Miami. but more importantly, she has spent a number of years in the state of Louisiana. Her reputation, work ethic, and character as a student athlete and coach in our region will be a huge positive for our program on the recruiting trail with coaches and future students.”

Some of Barrett’s responsibilities with the Lady Techsters will include recruiting, player development, opponent scouting and alumni relations.
