Yes I'm upset with Miles and wish him gone.

Yeah, that was a real tough fricking code to crack. If we'd have had 5 1st rounders, you undoubtedly would have a "Miles sucks because he squanders talent" thread. So I ask you again--what is/was the appropriate number of 1st and 2nd round picks for this team? What scenario could have possibly played out the last 2 days where we wouldn't have had to be subjected to your pussy bleeding all over the place?

Funny how those lower ranked kids recruited by Shula were actually developed into 1st round NFL talent.

Really?
Rolando McLain - 25th best player as ranked by Rivals coming out of high school
Terrance Cody - 4 star according to Scout coming out of high school
Javier Arenas - best punt/kick returner on the Bama team as a freshman (i.e. before Saban)
Kareem Jackson - ranked 17th nationally by Rivals coming out of high school
Mike Johnson - started as a sophomore and played in all 13 games as a freshman

Don't sound like lower ranked kids to me.

i brought up sam bradford because he missed how many games? and still got drafted first overall? He injured his arm twice, which should raise more red flags of a reoccurring injury.

My point is, if you got what it takes to play, teams usually take that chance on you.

Let me just add though, that there are obviously valid criticisms of Miles. But when you(not you, specifically) hate EVERYTHING about him and find fault in EVERYTHING he does in spite of his inarguable success, your criticisms begin to hold a lot less water. If you would pick your spots, your arguments would be much more effective. Imho, of course.

Some players have it and some don't....you cant blame the coaches for every single thing that pisses you off (i know it's the easy thing to do).

Like Carl said...would you have been happy if LSU had 4 first rounders? The answer is no...you would've started a thread about how Miles only won 9 games with 4 first rounders.

damned if you do...damned if you don't

I have 2 beefs with Miles, it just so happens that one of them can be reflective by how many guys we are putting into the NFL and where they go.

1) Miles and coaching staff inability to groom players from great high school players to great college players (the number of All-Americans and All-SEC players has dropped..just one example)

2) It seems like on gameday, he carries too much of a laissez faire attitude that translates into lack of execution, lack of intensity, lack of urgency (esp on offense).

2005 recruiting class (redshirt seniors) was thin and Miles played catch up all that recruiting season. 2006 recruiting class had a lot of attrition (with some very good players who signed eventually going elsewhere, like Loadholt and Jason Teaque, then you got Williams and Woods, who never really performed at the expected level. Lack of NFL talent should be no surprise.

When i say laissez faire, I'm talking about with his team, not the referees.

people see what they want to see. There are alot of coaches that aren't the "in your face" type. Doesn't make them bad coaches...just different styles.

well i hate his style of 1q-middle of the 4th q "we're fine we're fine we're fine" mentality and then his mid 4th quarter-end of game "o shite o shite o shite o shite,,frickk" mentality of coaching.
