Numbers are boring!!

P.S. You can't assume a "rare exception" when you don't even know the stat.

Oh everyone....now NUTS is claiming that top 20 foes NC and West Virginia will not tell us anything on the state of LSU football. BUT boy, if we go to that swamp and lose, then we suck, gonna be 7-5, etc., etc., etc.....a classic quack here...cluesless at best. Predicting 7-5 or 6-6...yet says we won't know anything until we are 5-0....lmao.....let's do the math....so this nut thinks we will be 5-0...but possibly finish 6-6 and at best 7-5. WOW. So we lose EVERY game to a decent foe, and also split with ULM and McNese....lmao.....do any of y'all take this guy seriously?

He was just on Songy & was asked who he was "afraid of" on this year's schedule. The first two games he mentioned were UNC, and- I shite you not- Miss State.

That's hilarious bc Ms State should have beat us last yr and Unc is going to be favored or a pick em game?

NUTS...how can you leave ULM of of there? They beat Nick Saban and Alabama just a few years ago. We are talking Nick Saban here, not les miles, so surely ULM is also capable. lmao

LSU ranked 21 in the AP, people expect LSU to finish with around 8 wins. Its pretty consistent and up to the team to change peoples minds.

This.

It all starts on Sept. 4. A beat down of UNC will turn people's heads. Push up into the teens somewhere and then let the games begin. This team has the potential to become a m'effing steam roller if it plays with the right chip on its shoulder.

Did I miss something, or is this some kind of a "reunion game" against MSU this year that uses all players / coaches from the 2009 game?

2009 means dogshit this year. We're all 0-0. Let's let them play and see what happens, okay?

you are using AP rankings, not the one that counts which has us at 16. However, doesn't really matter anyway in the SEC. Funny thing is Boise is 3 in both polls i believe. The media is insane. Since 2002, boise is 84-4 against garbage conference opponents...quite impressive. They are 5-6 against BCS Teams. Boise in the SEC would probably schedule 4 gimme out of conference wins....and be battling to get 3 or 4 SEC wins per year for around a 7-5 or 8-4 year on a GOOD YEAR. Much like Ole Miss. Doesn't the AP also have cinn up there after that 40 point beat down to florida in the bowl.....polls are stupid this time of year. Wish they would wait until about week three to start them...

again...the poll that counts...lsu is 16. For the record, if they take care of business against NC and at home against wv, they will be in top 10 easily for the florida game. Tenn will just be god awful this year and lucky to get 5 wins. If we lose to vandy..well not even going there....and State is REALLY going to miss Dixon.....but do like their coach....it's funny...lsu beats them what 20 years in a row...they play really close one year and all of the sudden mississippi state improved dramatically since last year, and lsu got worse...hilarious...even though more than half of their offense is gone...wow

16, 21. Doesn't matter preseason. People still expect LSU to have 7-9 wins.

Correct. Win the SEC and you will be in a BCS game, most likely the NCG. Preseason polls are pretty worthless if you are not in the top five.

I would rank Boise number two. They have the best shot at going undefeated of any team in the nation. An undefeated, possibly once defeated SEC champ will jump them anyway at the final poll.

the rare exception to a statistic you just made up on the spot? I don't think there's a team in the nation that could overcome those odds.

Not too optimistic about Bama's chances, eh?

13 starters...????? there are many players that played more last year than some of the starters that WILL be starting this year. This is VERY misleading. Alabama losing a lot of top performers and NFL draft picks, that is hard to replace. The people lsu lost last year......tell me where we are really going to miss ANY player that we lost other than on special teams? And I'm not even sure we miss it there. Scott? Williams? Please. Lafel? please......don't even start on the OL...with what we had last year. DL? please. We will miss coleman.....and chad jones...but honestly, our secondary will be even better than last year. So I don't know where you get that we lost all of these good players....IMO we did not nearly lose our best players....and what we have replacing the ones we did lose, in most cases, had just as much playing time last year and are more talented...except in a few situations where they are young and EXTREMELY talented. If you want to talk about someone losing players, players with major impact last year....look at alabama and florida...MUCH harder to replace what they lost.

Arguing this is pretty futile since the season is less than two weeks away.
