Keys to beating Bama on Defense

Play cover three with leverage to the inside. Play 8 in the box with Sam as the nickel. 3 linebackers all the time except long 3rd down.
Play Whit on first and Second downs; short 3rd downs also. Speights and Harold always for covering the under throws.
Milroe is only good at throwing deep balls to the middle. Make him throw accurate passes to the perimeter and deep balls to the sideline. Classic Perk game to spy.

Curious as to what has shown up since speights has been healthy that you would bench him?
I was/am a weeks fan but after speights came back we have been significantly better vs the run

They do not throw in the middle of the field. But I generally agree with you. I’d play soft, keep them in front of you defense. People don’t want to hear that and will get frustrated giving up easy 8-12 yard completions, but I’d rather make them execute their way down the field than hit bombs.
We shouldn’t need a whole bunch of defensive stops to win the game. Alabama is 3rd worst in the SEC is plays per drive…they don’t want to have 10-12 play drives, make them have to do that.

They do the under crossers and run the ball in the middle a lot. That needs to be slowed.

Sounds good but you're forgetting one thing: our defense is absolute trash against QBs that have a pulse. We let a fricking 2-6 Arkansas team hang 31 on us. In what world do you think that we can hold Alabama to a certain amount of points?

Then run zero blitz packages and make it difficult because you have nothing to lose if the secondary is suspect.

People on here know deep down that we probably won't win Saturday but want to keep clinging on to false hope.
All I want is for us to play 110% and stay in the game until the final minute of the 4th quarter. If that happens, we'll see where the chips fall

This is a classic coming out party game...corners unknown and unscouted. Lbs all healthy. Perk knows his role. Sam is settled. Jefferson will get the snaps he deserves. Nobody talking about the big 0.

You don’t ask inexperienced corners to play soft zone that’s a recipe for giving up blown long pass plays we have sucked in zone all year

Blitz! Lsu has to make milroe think. Bama will look to pass early to make the game 3rd and short..to make it more in their favor and lsu should make an effort to keep bama in 3rd and long
