re: Key vs Robinson

All I have to say is there's a lack of understanding of ALL penalties, especially holding that observers dictate as holding. That being said, there is holding on every play technically.
This will be a key matchup all game, but I would assume since it's a key matchup that Bama would run more towards Neal or at least away from Key. It honestly just depends on what is presented after the first few series. I would assume a lot of zone read with a pass option to the right considering Bama would be able to roll Hurts to the right after the run option. The real key to the game is actually the linebackers and DBs. If the DBs can play one on one and allow the linebackers to play in the box then it changes everything. If the linebackers have to extend to coverage it'll allow for more zone reads which will depend if 4-5 defenders can stop it.
I've watched several Bama games, not only this year but in previous years with Kiffen, he's going to look to establish Hurts early with short passes especially in a hostile environment. 3-4 will be a strength in this game allowing OLB to contain the zone read.
On the flip, this isn't the same Bama defense as last year, however it's still very stout I would assume that both offensive game plans will be similar. Spread it out and make the defense make a play to stop each other to establish a run game

Since Robinson can hold at will without being penalized, Key has his work cut out for him.
I just hope the refs don't let this happen all game.

Robinson at best is Bama's 4th best OL, and like last season should not even being in the talk of all SEC.
Key and Robinson match up will be one of the more interesting match ups in the game, I would give the edge to Key for now.
Key has been held for most of the season and the three blind mice of the SEC rarely call it.

Won't be "epic" at all.
Robinson will tackle him all game, while LSU will have several big plays called back for holding.
Enjoy the game!

My bigger concern with both our DE's is contain...DO NOT give up the edge. Our interior will fill if the play is turned up.

Too big is going to be his own problem.
Yep

He's going to hold Key a lot.
Then it won't be a problem for the Gumps.

And not get called for it.

WOW. We actually got away with TWO massive holds on that LF7 touchdown. Especially the one on #3. Not sure how the refs missed that one.

I would like to know where you saw two massive holds in that play? Boutte(76) had his hand in the face mask sideways driving him back not holding. #3 did one hell of a flop job though. Look at it good. If anything it could have been hands to the face but I don't think that rule is in place in college only in the pussy NFL now.
Teuhema(75) has his hands in the front driving back, no hold! Plus all the refs were to busy admiring #7 to notice

There is definitely hands to the face in college. You can see #95's shoulder pads from the hold. And #3 was both a hands to the face and a take down. LOL
