With that being said, you can make the argument that there is some degree of predictability in most systems.

In every cfb program.
The coaches dont have the on field practive time (20 hrs a week)to implement this huge playbook. Thats the importance of having returning starters on offense (especially qb) so you can add to the plays off the previous year.
Im not saying we werent predictable unde miles, because we were. Im just saying that if we paid attention to pther programs like we did lsu,we would also see tendencies like we did under Miles.

I agree. My point is, it would be cool to see the athletes that we have operate more in space, as opposed to jammed the box most of the time. I hope Canada is leaning in that direction.

True. But Saban/Kiffin have admitted learning their system from Cumbie/Herman

Cumbie learned his offense from playing and coaching at Texas Tech. It's fair to say that it's just a variation of the Leach Air Raid, with more running mixed in.

You posters that hated the predictability of Miles offense would hate the spread. Spread teams run the same damn plays over and over.

You don't need a shite ton of plays to be successful. Especially not in one game. A handful of plays that are completely understood and ran to perfection everytime is all you really need.

You can be unpredictable without a massive playbook

Agreed. It will also be nice to see our scheme adjust to our player's strengths rather than the complete opposite.

Exactly. Execution is the key in cfb.
Every play can be successful if executed right.
