This, more than anything says Kelly will be fired in 2-3 years. Absolute garbage excuse. He’s a total fraud , and we all bought in, hook , line and sinker.

I could believe it if he said he worked them extra hard this week and didn't care because he thought they had enough talent to win regardless. But that isn't what happened.

His boys were tired? We ain’t in Kansas anymore.
Yeah. That sounds like he is inadvertently disparaging himself and the coaching staff. It’s their responsibility to assure that the players are in top physical condition. If the player doesn’t put in the work necessary to be in shape then they shouldn’t be playing until they are. On another note, I think the tendency toward physical size on OL. Is over rated. Size is good for pass blocking as we have seen but OL seems VERY slow off the ball on running plays. On blocking for running plays that first step is crucial. It seems other teams’ DLs are beating out O Linemen through the neutral zone enabling DLs to basically clog things up in the middle. This seemed obvious with USC and Nichols.
ETA: How are they gonna be able to play pro ball on Sunday-Thursday game week when they are “too tired” after a college Sunday-Saturday game week?
