quote:I only asked a question (or two). Let's face it. Trent Johnson is following a guy who only took three years to take the worst program in the SEC and turn it into an SEC champ. He has big shoes to fill.
You're crazy.

quote:And I say good luck to him. Jim Boeheim has a great program at Syracuse, but he couldn't keep Carmelo past one year, and he was out of the Big Dance the next year.
Brady did indeed win sec in 3rd year....... but Brady was building a win at all cost TEAM, while TJ looks to be building a PROGRAM......
My opinion: Building a "program" wins titles in football but doesn't do so in basketball (with a few exceptions--notably in the state of North Carolina). Brady did build a couple win-at-all-cost teams, and we got two titles and a Final Four out of it. If Dale Brown's replacement had come in and tried to build a "program," it is likely that we would have none of those banners.
If Johnson wants to build himself a bad arse program, great, but I see the whole Coach K coaching tree trying to do that, and they all seem to be mediocre and get fired.
