Did Nick Saban lose to UL-Monroe as the head coach of the university of Alabama- Winners of 13* national championships? Why was he not fired? Where they calling for his head? Is that not a little worse than this situation? Just curious

yeah, so Saban loses to ULM and has since built his program into a superpower.

Miles has basically run his program into the shithole of the sec west.

yeah, awesome.

He was getting his kinks out and still feeling out that team that year. He sure as hell got his act together the very next year though. I'd rather a coach who loses a gimme game every once in a while and win all the big games (obviously with the exception of Utah) than one who never wins the big game and routinely struggles with gimme games.
I think it's obvious the only big games Miles has won was done with the players Saban coached and instilled certain qualities at one time.

Yes, Saban coaches at Alabama, and he may very well be a horse's rear end, but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE stop showing how stupid you are by trying to say that Miles is in the same league with him when it comes to coaching!

Miles is in his 5th year and still can't figure out clock management and/or game management. that in itself is inexcusable for someone who is getting paid 4M dollars a year.

and it's not getting any better. Have you seen Miles's team regress or progress? How about saban at bama?

This is worse for one very simple reason:

It was a divisional, conference game. Sorry.

Im actually on the fence as too which senario would be best for LSU football. Fire the dude now, go through 2-3 years of rebuilding, or the dude making some sort of turn around. Who knows. Honestly, probably the former, but it wont happen.

There would be no rebuilding. This team has more talent right now than it knows what to do with(literally).

I really don't know what kind of turn around he could make. It's just bad coaching. Not one bad decision, not one mistake...it's chronic poor coaching and the fact that we got lucky and had a good year with some "veteran" players a few years ago is the only saving grace he has right now.
