Josh Downs will be the next Glenn Dorsey

jot that down
Not sure he has as much natural talent, but his production will be there. He is so good off the ball and plays with so much more effort and intensity that he will be a nightmare for OLs who have to match that for a full game against him
He EASILY was our best DL off the line (including Rahim) last night, and nobody was close to giving as much effort as him from whistle to whistle
love the kid

This kid has a bright future with the Tigers.

I hope you are right. That's a bold statement.

Nevis will be better than Dorsey and Downs will be the next Dorsey. I can live with that.

How many stars do you think he will get?

I don't see it like many of y'all do
there are many long periods of time in games where he is no-factor

He was a BEAST in his first game as a true fresh. And he is only listed at 275 right now. Future is super bright for Downs.

I said to my wife and my brother last night the exact same thing - the way Downs came off the ball and kept his motor running, he is the next Dorsey. VERY impressed with that guy.

Only D-lineman that was impressive consistantly last night-great explosion off the snap. This is first year there's not an every-down dominant D-lineman @ LSU in a long time. Vandy can RUN the ball. If we don't stop the run this week, this is going to be a horrific year on Defense- don't even look @ the Bama game.

Nevis and Downs next to each other should be a good duo

D-Line looked pretty solid. That wasn't the problem. Wasn't Chavis originally a D-line coach?

Eh? Even the very best DT is a "no-factor" for long stretches of every game. That is the nature of the position. Nevis played very well yesterday. Woods, on the other hand, needs to step up his game. (Good to see him in better shape at least.)

agreed 77 was in there pushing hard!
Alexander needs to be a back up to Woods, Nevis, and Downs

Okay, I have jotted this down in my Fisticuffs notepad that I keep in my nightstand.

Not too sure about this. UW had some runs on the outside that were helped along by Levingston's inability to contain. The pass rush from the front 4 sucked donkey balls as well. Whether it was scheme or inability, I don't know; but the D-line was definitely part of the problem.
