Jordan Hare? Seriously?
Yeah...seriously. It was awesome. I'm not sure what else you're looking for if you don't think the atmosphere last night was great.
And to some of the others on here, you must be too young to remember, but our cheerleaders used to do the same lame arse miked up stuff not all that long ago. And oh by the way, am I missing something here, but is "Calling Baton Rouge" and "Louisiana Saturday Night" not "canned music?"

Ok Ok so the fans might sing that albeit stupid song, but is it played over the Public Address system?? I don't think I have ever heard the PA play lead on any song. That was my point that the crowd has to take keys from the stupid pa system. Vs any tradition like many schools. Fans were OK. If its pronounced jerden hair then spell it that way. I still Hate That place. Including the party Pics dude rooming around wanting to snap pics. It is just so commercial like damn ditney worIt I just dont like it.

Did anyone else notice how quiet it was on our game winning drive? I think the au fans were in such shock that it was eerily quiet. Not very impressed with the tailgaiting or the gameday experience. Only 1 out of every 10 girls was hot and didn't see very much drinkin eiher.

I thought it was a great gameday experience.
the leadup to the game was real laid back. I never got the sense that the whole campus was on edge like i did last year for bama, and honestly didn't have anyone talk trash till after the game.
Tailgating i thought was overall weak, but we were welcomed into one of the best student tailgates i've ever been to.
the stadium was on par with TS on the whole but the TS peaks are certainly louder. The piped in music is lame, but few if any schools have a band like the golden band that is so involved with the whole stadium from play to play. That is what makes TS special to me.
and like most SEC the bars walking distance from campus trump our off campus offerings.

I wasn't impressed. I did not hear anything other than corndog references (and I think they know it's lame as well).
Like one poster had mentioned earlier...Go Big Blue? Go Tigers? War eagle? Maybe it's gonna be War damn bucknut eagle the next time.
The fans were not loud except maybe towards the end of the game when they took the lead.
Good news, traffic wasn't that bad.

Speaking of AU f@gs did anyone see the 2 guys hugging in the stands after Auburn went up by 1? One guy had on a hat that looked like an Auburn helmet. Reminded me of the 2 guys from LSU a few years ago.
BTW: I have always enjoyed my trips to the plains. The crowed is a little uptight but other than that they have always been nice.

I hated the PA system. I cannot stand when colleges do that. Other than that, I have no complaints towards the stadium. We sat at the very top & had a great view.
Now their fans...different story. I hate their fans. Before the game, they just stared at us...said nothing. Certainly didn't have that "southern hospitality" that we have. After the game, every one of them were angry as hell. Throwing drinks, hitting shite, wanting to fight, etc.
All that being said...still had a great time.

auburn fans have more enthusiasm for a home game than tenn does. definitely more crowd noise than at tenn and it seemed like they were more "into" the game than tenn fans. auburn fans were pretty intense until the very end. tip o the cap to em.
the piped music is lame and no, lsu does NOT do that during the game except to play fight songs if tgbftl is on the field before or after halftime. calling b.r. and la sat night are played before the game.
the microphone cheerleader reminded me of ole miss. not cool
the stadium was definitely better than neyland. although, the concourse is smaller and concessions aren't as good as tiger stadium. no escalator.
we sat in sec 47 and it was noticeably absent of tiger fans. kind of disappointed in that. every other away game i've been to this decade, lsu fans were in full force.
would someone please tell me where gate 9 is? no one knew. we walked all around and asked fans and workers. btw, gates 10 and 8 are on the opposite side of the field from sec 47.
several times after the game and even at the hotel in montgomery, auburn fans congratulated us on the win. those were the nicest people i've encountered at any away game. a couple of times before the game, drunk guys got in our face, but no big deal.
we were blown away at how easily and quickly we got to our parking spot and back on the interstate. granted, we had to walk 1.5 miles to get from the car to the stadium and then the same on the way back, but still. that was amazing.
tailgating was better than tenn but not as big as ole miss. rebs are serious about tailgating.
tiger walk? eh. somewhat impressive. not nearly as impressive as tgbftl coming "down the hill". not even close.
would i go back to auburn? not sure. depends on the circumstances. right now, i'm leaning towards no. i'm glad i went and had a great time.
btw, plainsman park. awesome. glad i got to see it. i can see how lsu's new facility is going to be very, very impressive.

Loved the PA music...Felt like I was at an NFL game. Would love to see that at TS
The corndog comments are old and just silly.
After the game we were tailgating on a street where a lot of auburn fans had to walk down to get back to there cars and one simple comment to them summed it up....."How do those M-Fing Corndogs Taste Now"

Auburn is only second to Ole Miss for douchebag frat boys wearing ties to games. It's a FOOTBALL game!
I heard the hurricane jokes too two years ago when I was there. I won't go back. Not impressed at all.

Yes I even saw a sign saying "if you though Gustav was bad you haven't felt nothing yet"

Exactly what I didn't like. The band is college football. Leave the PAs for the NFL. LSU doesn't need that, because we have such an outstanding band. Auburn...not so much.

quote:He's Guilbleaux, one of his alters, or one of the media's Les Miles detractors like a Jim Donnan or equivalent douche. Definitely has a wacky perspective.
Geert does see things through different colored glasses though. He consistently pumps up Jimbo Fisher compared to Crowton, etc. I'm pretty sure he's not an LSU fan.
