We were legitimately 4-5 good passes away from beating Bama last year against a better Bama secondary. I think Joe has what it takes to make those throws against the bama secondary this year if protected well enough.

Will all depend on the offensive line. They will be the difference in this game for us offensively

Looks like they should be healthy

I think we'll see a lot more of Brosette in the game for pass pro reasons

I was at the game last year. We were 3 plays from winning and the Bama fans acknowledged such to me. They knew they were lucky to win it.

We have a better QB, WR’s, O-line, secondary, and D-line. We are comparable in RB’s and LB play. we have a better FG kicker. We are playing at home on Saturday night.

We gonna Stump da Gumps, baws!

E needs to do a much better job of getting Joe some easier passes early to get him warmed up. Joe/we started very poorly.

I trust this game was at the top of the list when Ensminger was hired. I can't wait to see what weve been sitting on all along and saving for this moment.

Yet through 8 games.

Etling had a higher completion %, more TDs, less INTs, and only 92 less yards while throwing 68 less passes.

And still couldn’t make the big time throws when we needed him to. That’s the difference

I dont get why statistics quoters from last year don't get this. We have had the toughest schedule in all of college football, of course he completed less

I don’t get why so many of you can’t see that Joe has not been overly impressive.

Forget MSU, Miami, UGA. The rest of the games have not been that great.
We are 7-1 because of defense.

I like JB. I think he is getting better. Next year will be great, but the purple colored glasses are out in force.

Burrow has been okay. That's it. I see no reason to shite on Etling to prop up Burrow, and I'm not one to usually take up for Etling.

Etling was a 60% passer last year; Burrow is a 54% passer. They threw similar routes and had similar amounts of dropped passes.

In the Bama game last year Etling threw a bomb to Dural(?) at the goal line that was picture perfect. At the last second Dural swerved left and never even touched it.

Our players need to make the plays that WILL be there.
- no stupid personal foul that kills a drive and takes us out of scoring position
- no stupid fumble as you’re crossing the goal line
- if the QB puts the ball in your hands catch the damn thing
- If the WRs are open the QB needs to deliver it.
- secure the tackles

Easier schedule. Swap out BYU for Miami and Tennessee for Georgia makes a difference.
