He played well that game. Take over is a little much IMO. If he played the entire game, I could get on board with you, but we'll just never know what had happened had it been in all game.

What are your standards?
Would you trust allowing Jarrett Lee to throw it 40+ times?
That's what I mean by "taking over."
I wouldn't trust either of our guys to do that.

Posting that shite he did after claiming that Lee is never going to be a good QB? You bet it is. The dude was purely on an anti Lee platform and trying to back up his asinine comments.
Hey everybody look! Roger showed up to spew his typical bullshite!

Neither one of them are consistent. Which is why we need and play both of them.

Roger and junkfunky remind me of each other.
Both.. though neither would ever admit it slant to a certian qb, all the while they both try to act as if though they are just innocent bystanders, trying to get eveyone to get along.
The only intentions they have are being only for the "team" and not a "guy".
Both keep the pot stirred.
Hell, at least Im up front about my position on this topic and always have been.
JMHO.

I sure as hell would. Everything related to his passing game this season says he'd do a "good" job with the extra 20 passing attempts. Is it logical to think he'd start screwing up royally after his standard 15-20 passing attempts?

I'm not agreeing with the OP, but we racked up 225 yards of rush offense against them last year, on 45 carries (so 5.0 ypc). Jefferson was a big part of that.
Bama D 2011 >>>>>>> Bama D 2010.
I hope I'm wrong.

OBUDan, how can you possibly say that?? JL has been very consistent the entire season.. If any one thing has hurt our Off. drives the most, it has been dropped passes.... JL has done exactly what has been asked of him.. I mean the guy now has one of the longest streaks in LSU history of passing attempts without an int. Are you saying that just for the sake of arguing?

Why don't we worry about bama next week after this week's game??? We have 2 weeks to pick, fuss, and exaggerate!!!

I hope he doesn't do a "throw and duck" off his back foot that gets taken to the house.
What is funny is how you and others make this comment like JL is more prong now to throw an int over JJ.
JL has thrown 2 int in 224 attempts over the last 2 years avg 1 int per 112 attempts
JJ has thrown 10 int in 216 attempts over the last 2 years aver 1 int per 21.6 attempts
So you want to worry about someone throwing the pick under pressure, you have your QB's mixed up. But you may also be one of the JJ lovers that his int ar never his fault and JL's is completely his fault.

Damn numbers keep ruining a good arguement.

I was referring to the entire arc of their careers.
I mentioned yesterday, but if people want to say JJ sucks because of the way he played in the first 6-7 games last year, they shouldn't take the first 6-7 games this year and say, "See, Lee is amazing." JJ turned it around backhalf of last year. So there's really no evidence that says the first 6-7 games will predict the next 4-5 games.
My hope is that Lee continues to steadily improve. I do think his passing has been inconsistent, historically.

Yeah, it remains to be seen IMO. Their rush D numbers were sparkly last year, and I remember everyone was really concerned we'd have zero offense because we had struggled in the weeks prior.
And they lost their best DL.
I'm not saying we're going to run rough shod over them, though.

I don't think it's illogical to assume his numbers would dip if he was throwing it 40 times a game, because that would mean he was throwing in a lot fewer high percentage situations (less play action, etc.).
I don't even mean that as a knock on him so much as few QBs can really handle that type of workload (in a traditional offense like we run).

He's basically using JJ to run the read option damn near every snap he's in the game. He hasn't called very many passing plays for JJ.
Since you brought up post # 284635342763494999265345457 about Jj and Jl, then I am forced to answer......like there ain't enough post about it yet.......

Anyone not happy/pleased/content with the over all QB play this season compared to 2010 and the performance of JL as our starter, needs to wake up and smell the coffee cause they missing a night to day type improvement to this point in time. imo
Do I have concerns over the Bama D finding a way to get to JL and shaking him or putting him out of the game, you bet. Thing is, our protection of QB's is #1 in the SEC and that makes me feel better.
Bama, and I know Auburn comes 1st, has a recent history of putting starting QBs out...JJ in 09, Colt M. in 09, and one or two this season.
Anyone not understanding or having a problem with the why of increasing the play of the 2nd guy, hasn't been playing attention to SEC/BCS football and starting QB going out and impacts to the team.
