I still don't think Lee is a "good" player,

I'm sorry what are his ranks in FBS this year?

Honestly, what does he need to do for you? What is your problem with the kid doing well? I get you wanted JJ to be doing it, but why hate on someone who is doing well.....being you're a TIGER fan first and all. What a joke.

But I also acknowledged that what I said was harsh and wrong.

You just said it again, and in that other thread. WTF is your problem with JL? Is it becuase you don;t like the color of his skin?

quote:

f you find me "denigrating Lee" I'll happily apologize for it.

See above, saying the kid isn;t good when he has an efficiency rating in the top 20-25, 11tds with 1int...and you still say he isn't good, in your post!

You're a joke, and the only reason I can see you taking this attitude is based on race. If not, please tell me what the kid has done this year to be considered "not good".

Im curious.
What exactly would Jlee have to do from here on out that he hasn't done so far, that would elevate his status from not a good player to a good player?

I think Ive asked you this befroe, dont remember getting a response.

Lee plays right into sabans hands. And once lee gets hammered a couple times he is done.

JJ beat out JL on the field in practice remember?

Incorrect. The coaches and the media have both said the JL has been the best QB at practice for the last 2 years. He was obviously the reason we won the games we should have lost last year as well. I like both guys, but JL has the better tools, and he manages the games in a way in which JJ in NOT capable of doing. I'll take 10-15 seconds on the play clock and a nice throw over "i don't know the play" and a terrible throw and/or run for your life crap any day. Let our stud RBs run, let JL throw and manage the game.

You're dreaming a bit here.... While JJ can certainly pass and run I think our best "angle" to win this ball game is to turn the offense loose and let JL air it out - BIG time!

It's already been discussed that Jarrett Lee is the top QB in the SEC and I think we all should agree - no matter how good/great our defense is as a unit.

You want to talk Heisman b.s. Just let JL air it out against 'Bama with our excellent and gifted receivers (RR, ODBJr, DP, Shep, and WTF).

JJ will indeed be the "trump" card for this encounter and every game we play the rest of the season. Miles has the key to success and he knows it as well as our EXCELLENT coaching staff!

Geaux Tigers!

and JLee beat him on the field, in the games, leading the best offense at LSU Ive seen in years in years. JJ was a disaster last year, leading probably the worst offense I've seen in years, mostly because of him. Insane to want him over what Lee is doing now.

lol. The plays not getting in on time in not on jj, that disorganized abortion of a offense was all on crowton.

Btw, ware is our only real threat at rb ford to some degree, but he tip toes at the line to go between tackles

The rest of our backs are average AT BEST. I would take Poole over ford, blue and Magee. JJ is a better runner then blue and Magee and equal to ware with a real threat to pass. Ware or Shepard at wildcat is a lesser threat by far

JJ is a mixture of Tim Tebow, Cam Newton, and Vince Young. He's going to destroy Bama.

Maybe you are the one that needs to start "dealing with it" concerning this qb situatiuon

It doesn't matter to me. We are winning and as long as JL plays the way he has he should start.

^this.

I want to see how JL responds to getting hit by Upshaw and Hightower before I handover the keys to him the entire game.

I hope he doesn't do a "throw and duck" off his back foot that gets taken to the house.

I can see JJ doing what he does at times to bama.

Quite frankly both have had to take their fair share of shite from our fanbase. I hope they both get their chance to contribute to a championship season.

It would be poetic justice.

Besides if anybody can manage 2 qbs to the MNC its got to be Miles.

I can link several long drives ending w/ field goals b/c Lee got us in the red zone and JJ came in... Want that? I can link QB rankings after 7 games and I'll include JL's Freshman year, which was a very good year considering he was a 3rd string true freshman. We averaged nearly 30 a game.

He has one of the longest streaks of attempts without an int in LSU history.

Why do you make up lies?

Possible but i doubt it in this his final year.

More likely scenario is that he takes sacks and could get hurt.

What does lee need to do to win you over?

Maybe your mom is an idiot.

If you think that the keys are handed over, keep watching.

Some of the throws were dropped picks. Stop seeing what you want to see. Not to mention that the streak was done over two seasons where he played part-time throwing at most about 10 passes a game.

Bama is not like the defenses we've already played.

Jj can out run bamas front seven, the blitz packages saban will bring are not going to be nice. They will contain jj to a degree, but they will have to respect the run, stay at home or get burned. They will have to pick and choose carefully when to blitz. I saw many options open that jj did not use. The full back was open underneath all day, Shepard was open on the sweep/screens etc. very hard to defend all that especially with ford or ware lined up in the back. So many combos. He will have a check down for a quick screen or roll out I would imagine.

If our running game was not so lame I would have more faith in it, but all we do is dive and stretch. That will get shut down with the quickness.

So what's your solution?

Bench lee? Start Jefferson?
