I suppose you could. The kid made some incredible throws in his time. The problem he had was diagnosing the middle of the field. Hence that's where all of his ints were thrown.

so I take it we agree that he cant throw even a simple screen yet he is some how the 2nd best QB in the best Conference in America?...need I say more? so you already admit that you were wrong when you asked what pass he cant throw...

I didn't say he was the 2nd best QB in the SEC and I didn't ask what pass he can't throw. Don't you think it's more coaching then anything else?

thats where the ball has to go sometimes....JJ is terrified to do it...everything in balance, inside, outside, run pass play action...called football dude...cant throw 10 yard hitches all day long, its too conservative and limits the run game...JJ hampered the run game bc the D could put all 11 inside 15 yards bc no one respected his ability to attack the middle or throw downfield...they took that chance and it paid off for many teams. The games we won we out athleted people...you have to have a QB who can throw, otherwise Walter Payton and an ALL-Pro line couldnt run against SEC defenses...your going against more men then you have...

You're such a fricking tool shed homey. You said JJ couldn't make all the throws. I gave you a video of one of the EXACT fricking throws you said he couldn't make. The only thing that's implied in this thread is that you're a dumb arse.

Coaching will def help, no doubt about that, but everything begins with the TYPE of kid he is. only CERTAIN TYPES of athletes can play QB consistently successful...Think fast, cant play scared, short memory, ACCURACY, CLUTCH....thats a QB, I could care less about arm, height, weight, velocity and all the other bullshite thats out there....if you can find a kid with everything ill show you peyton manning.

And Lee couldn't figure out when to go there. What are we even arguing over now? FWIW, if you don't think the o-line was at least 50% of the problem you're about as clueless as they come.

Now JJ isn't a winner? What's his record at LSU right now?

Jefferson is not a good runner when it's a set play

This is not entirely true.

In high school JJ ran more of a read option than a pitch option(and ran it well).

Unfortunatly, Crowton's playbook and style calls for the pitch option. Texas is an example of the style offense JJ ran in high school.

I don't get why we don't use Shepard the way we used Perrilloux in 07. Clearly, Crowton is capable of running a successful option, does he just forget how to do it?

I still think that flynn ran the best option, or at least had the best pitch.

They should just scrap the option. Hopefully jj and tt have been working out on their own time.

so what type is he?

The type that completed 62% of his passes, had 17 TD's, lead his team to a 3rd place finish in the SEC, and a national ranking as a 19 yr old SO in his 1st year as a starter in the best college football conference in the NCAA.

JJ is passing QB with mobility.
(Similar to a Sam Bradford with a little more speed)

JJ-6'5"
SB-6'4"

JJ-220 lbs
SB-223 lbs

Both have mobility, JJ has a little more speed.

JJ and SB both have accuracy

Both have similar arm strength

From a physical standpoint, they are very similar.
