He could be a great college QB. In the NFL he would be more like an Antwan Randle El.

If Pat White has success in the pro's then it will bode well for Shep.

The best running QB in college history, VY, has been all but a total bust.

Time will tell for these guys.

I was talking about Jefferson. No way Shep is ever a starting NFL QB, maybe in the wildcat or if some crazy new offense comes to the NFL in the next few years he could get some snaps as an NFL QB.

Jefferson is a Donovan McNabb or David Garrard type QB. Definitely more of a passer than a runner but very mobile, good height, big arm, needs to work on accuracy coming out of college. Hell, Donovan McNabb still has some accuracy problems. He overthrows a receiver at least a couple times a game. But he has the leadership and playmaking ability to be a very succesful NFL QB.

JJ is much thinner than these guys.

McNabb was more of a runner in college.

But, I do agree that JJ could be a very good NFL QB is he comtinues to improve.

I was thinking more of a Wayne Madkin, Jason Campbell or other tall black dude. or a taller Tee Martin or Troy Smith.

Yes, because there are SO MANY mobile QBs in the NFL not named David Garrard and Donovan McNabb. I was DEFINITELY just stereotyping him as a black quarterback. His strides are way too long to be like Romo, Garcia, or Steve Young. Who (besides Garrard and McNabb) does he compare to? Sammy Baugh?

Jason Campbell isn't a runner. He's had a decent number of rushing yards recently because his OL can't protect and his receivers can't get open, but he's not a runner. Troy Smith's arm isn't big, but he's not a starting NFL QB anyway. JJ is nothing like Jamarcus or Byron Leftwich.

JJ is more like JR or leftwich than gerrard or mcnabb, imho

if JJ bulked up to 260 like JR did he'd prolly have the same 4.84 speed

you know you want to.

the crime of it all is that Ron Franklin won't be telling us how great our QBs are in his own unique way.
