I’m not a proponent of Jerry by any means. But where did the GA being a recruiter hurt th this cycle? They’re going to finish in the top 3 overall.

Jerry also helped get you Chase. They sold that kid on being coached up by an experienced WR coach, and it worked.

Criticize where they fell short — in the passing game.

I don't see any pure WR's in the class. I see 3 marked "athletes", but no WRs.

We got 4 WRs in the 2018 class:
Terrace Marshall: 5 star #1 WR in country
Jamar Chase: 4/5 star
Jaray Jenkins: 4 star
Kenan Jones: 4 star

We have a lot of WR on roster so we haven't pushed hard for 2019.

Trey Palmer: high 4 star is our only WR. Talent isn't the issue. Experience, development and utilization is. With Jefferson, Anderson, Sullivan and Dillon we have talent and depth.

2. Yes, I sad Burrow is a slightly better QB than Haskins*. Still say so. OSU had the most experienced WRs in the nation this season. Burrow would have KILLED with those WRs.

Why isn't Burrow declaring then? Haskins has a good chance of being the first QB taken. Surely Joe is a 1st rounder also, no?

No. Because the product of his efforts was sub-standard for an elite college football program.

Let me ask all those on here that are bashing Sullivan. Do y'all really believe that him and him alone was responsible for our passing game? Forget what his "title" said!

Do y'all think that a WR coach is purely responsible for a sub par passing game? Doesn't the QB make a difference? What about the most important piece of that, the offensive line?

Is it time for him to hang it up, yes. But trust me, that man with over 50 years of coaching has more experience in the tip of his pinky finger that any of you so called tRant experts will ever have!

Kudos to Coach Sullivan. He did great things for our players and made them better fundamentally and provided them an understanding of the offense and their respective roles.

Huge energy from that man.

For those that disagree, Larry Fitzgerald says hello.

We wish him well.

We paid this guy $500k to develop our passing game. That's still mind blowing.

Ehhh, I think he was more there to teach the WRs fundamentals i.e. route trees, crisp routes, and blocking.

I'm sure he helped Ensminger understand passing schemes and formations from the NFL from 1995, but I think the offense was mostly Slinger.

I can't help you if you can't read. I said "pure" WR. He's listed as an athlete. And there's a link.

What fantasy world are you living in? The big-money boosters have substantial control over LSU's football program. As boosters do at almost all schools.

Miles got fired because he did n't deliver on his promise (to the boosters) of an elite passing game. O got hired because of the same promise. Some coach had to go. Sullivan fit the bill. Next season, if the passing game doesn't happen, E goes. O can hang on with another 10 win season, IMO.

Joe Burrow just had the most passing yards out of any LSU QB since Zach Mettenburger but LSU isn't passing the ball according to you if you want 70 pass attempts game watch big 12 football to survive in the Sec you better have a run game to or you'll be the Missouri Tigers

It's not what YOU want that counts. It's what the big-money boosters want that counts. They want a top-notch passing game. This isn't 1962 SEC football.

Money talks. bullshite walks. (and they are 100% correct. You can't run the ball against the playoff caliber teams without an elite passing game - just a fact)

Why the hell would you exclude Alabama? If LSU wants to play at the conference and national championship level, then LSU needs to build a passing game like Clemson, OK, Ohio State, and Bama did. Duh

Weve seen in multiple games so far we can't even get a yard when needed under Ed.

Joe Burrow threw for almost 2900 yards but according to you LSU don't have a passing game
And with Alabama HIGH power offense how many points they scored on Clemson? The game is won in the Trenches at the end of the day
