and Les's refusal to take last year's opportunity to higher a legit time management assistant are my two main points of contention with Les now a days

Until we have a QB coach that can develop a QB to excel instead of just manage a game, we might be stuck with incoming QBs that need more coaching than usual.

If you look back at JJ's performance in the Chicken bowl against Georgia Tech and compare it to his performance since then, I think he has not improved and possibly even performed worse. However, I blame that on coaching, not on JJ. Remember that the coaches get paid to develop our talent. Our talent shouldn't have to develop our coaches.

Murray is a gamer. Very good pocket awareness, nimble, and accurate.

Why oh why can't we have a quarterback?

Watching Aaron Murray yesterday made me realize just how bad JJ is

Having AJ Green on your team helps out tremendously FWIW

This guy is a game changer, look how UGA fared without him...Our receiving corps would have dropped half of Murrays passes, ending drives, and bringing out the punt team.

Green was catching the ones thrown behind him, too high, etc. Wish we had that kind of go-to receiver

I think an actual functioning offensive strategy would go a lot farther than a QB coach, IMO...both the QB have problems that are primarily mental in nature, and in many cases, coaches can't fix those. Crowton's passing game is easy to figure out, even ULM had it pretty much covered (ULM beats Saban again??)

You can't teach someone that doesn't want to learn JJ thought that he would just show up and be a superstar but it doesn't work that way

to be fair who looks better than both JJ and JL. JJ being a junior and JL being a RS junior. So who would that be an indictment on?

I remain perplexed why former starting LSU QB and a proven, successful QB coach for Clemson, Aurburn, La Tech, Georgia and Texas A&M Steve Ensminger is coaching Tight Ends, rather than working with the LSU QBs.

I also think he is a good candidate to replace Crowton as the OC. He did a fantastic job as OC for the Aggies for 3 years (as well as at Clemson and La Tech). He was Georgia's QB coach and passing game coordinator in '91, 92, and '93.

JJ wasnt the QB LSU thought it would be playing with this year.

There is absolutely zero reason to recruit a QB at a top-level program without the belief or intention that the QB will play meaningful snaps during his time at the school. The coaches didn't recruit JJ with zero intention to play him; in fact, when it became clear that he was "the guy," they should have invested heavily in developing him to be an adequate starting QB. As a passer, he has his moments, and as a runner, he has his moments. By his 25th career start, he should have more than "moments." This is a coaching issue, far and away.

JJ is actually a very good talent just like Lee
the more i watch them play, the less i believe this. they were highly recruited but, they just aren't good at passing the football. the passes sat were horrible. both of them should have been able to throw the ball pretty much at will against ulm.

standing in the pocket, throwing to a receiver and missing BY A MILE just isn't coaching. if they were bumping into the rb, missing the snap count, not knowing the routes, poor handoffs, always throwing off balance, that i could see as a coaching problem. i'm not saying the coaches aren't without fault.

My guess is that Crowton is trying, but just isn't good at developing QBs and his history has shown this.

Our QB debacle has a glaring resemblance to Leaf/Dixon at Oregon under Crowton. As soon as Crowton left, Dixon lit shite up. My blame is on the coaches simply because of Crowtons history.
