JL cant run it in or jump pass it from the 1 foot line?
You need the run threat to pull off the jump pass.

JL doesn't run.

it does if you understand probability and proportions. You obviously don't and my argument was over your head.

Of course I do. But there was no mention of probability in "I guarantee he won't be the x factor." You didn't say, "He probably won't be." You didn't say, "There's not a great percentage he won't be." You said, you guaranteed he wouldn't be. Which, ignores all probabilities.

yes it was, and first comment shows you don't understand the math behind it.

Lulz. I like how you frequently pretend to be a math whiz on here. It makes you feel good to pat yourself on the back, huh?

well at least you realize that...we're getting somewhere.

We are, okay, so is there a greater than zero percent chance of Jefferson scoring 4 touchdowns on Saturday and Lee/Ware/Mathieu/Randle/Shep scoring 0? If the answer is that yes, this is theoretically (though unlikely) possible, then I'd like for you to evaluate this statement from a perspective of probabilities:

"I guarantee he will not be the x-factor."

JJ couldn't throw that pass,

You mean this one? (fast forward to 5:04)

honest question....

If JJ had 4 tds in say 10 snaps. Would you say the game was decided on our ability to score points?

If those were the only 4 TDs we scored, then sure, why not?

If the offense did nothing else, then sure, why not?

If the defense allowed 500 yards and 24 points, then sure, why not?

Are these all unlikely occurrences? Sure.

Are these are theoretically possible? Sure.

well we are on the same page.

shite there is a probability that an asteroid will strike Earth today.

Do I crawl into a hole and wait? no.

The point being that things with ABSURDLY low likelihoods of occurring...aren't worth discussing or making predictions on.

Based on the number of snaps JJ takes a game up to this point, to assume that those few snaps will be the determining factor of this game, as the OP proposed, is ridiculous.

Could JJ be the X-Factor.....sure.

I guarantee he will not.

This is ad hominem. Notice how it contains nothing of value but flame, no actual argument, no actual point. Just mindless drivel that could deal with any subject.

That's ad hominem. thanks delarge05 for making a point for me.

Based on # of snaps that you don't have any foresight into?
You're guaranteeing JL won't get hurt, have a bad game, come down with the flu, or any multitude of instances that would allow JJ more snaps.
I thought you were a stats major?
How can you talk about percents and probs, then simultaneously issue a guarantee with that kind of variable involved?

You don't have to answer this time either.
Peace out.

Bengal would rather we lose with Lee, than win with JJ.

Not saying either is a likelier result than the other, just that it is where he stands.

fify. I don't care who plays as long as we win.

I believe JL getting almost all, if not all of the snaps, puts us in the best place for that result.
