Jeff Landry and the irony of not rewarding mediocrity

I had an inkling LSU might get into a drawn out, messy situation with Kelly when I saw the Gordon interview over the weekend. I’m paraphrasing, but Gordon basically said our Governor really had a problem with rewarding mediocrity. If you recall, Landry was going on about not rewarding mediocrity when he was calling for incentive-based contracts on every form of media after Kelly was ousted.
This got me thinking. If we shouldn’t reward mediocrity, should we reward outright poor performance? Louisiana is ranked at or near the bottom in nearly every meaningful metric. So, Jeff, should your constituents apply the same logic to your performance?
