He was mediocre

His overall production was better than 95% of the guys who have played quarterback for LSU in about the last 25 years and he directed the team to a victory over Bama and a west championship after starting off with a team which had two non-winning seasons in a row prior to his arrival..

my goodness, no one is implying that the guy doesn’t have flaws in his game which he needs to improve, but the lack of appreciation for what LSU was able to accomplish with him running the show is simply ridiculous.

Let me see a show of hands of all those fans who had LSU winning 10 games, beating, Bama, and winning the West this season.

If he isnt, he will be one of the few college QB's that didnt. That's the biggest problem I see with people knocking Daniels. They assumed he has peaked.

It might be a reach, but I see his ceiling next year similar to what Vince Young did at Texas in 2005. They are both tall rangy guys with exceptional speed. They both have the appearance of being slower than they are due to the long strides, making the defense take bad angles on them. Both also have weird throwing motions and could be streaky in the passing game.

He came out of high school at 175 pounds. He's listed at 200 now. He's been in a college program for 4 years now and has added 25 pounds. He's probably maxed out as much good weight as he can add at this point.

Came out of Arizona State at 185.

Played last fall at 200.

Sounds like strength and conditioning is better here.

Baffles me how an LSU fans can hate on a player

Let's be realistic. JD had 3-4 very good games, 3-4 average ones, and 3-4 terrible games.

The book is out of him. He can still write a couple chapters, but as of now, he is an exceedingly average QB.

Lamar Jackson is 212. Michael Vick played at 210. Russell Wilson is 215.

But yeah, Jayden needs to gain weight this spring and summer. 200 is too light.

He doesn't to gain 30lbs for sure. Would kill his speed and quickness. Stay around 210lbs.

You need to go back and watch Burrow's Jr. season. There is literally no reason to think (or proof for that matter) that he won't be even better this season.
