I wish JLee would start, he's our best QB right now, but i guess JJ will get that shot.
Lee played his best game coming off the bench sans expectations so maybe it'll be good for him.
I still think JLee is a first team all SEC type player before he leaves this university.

overall he might not have, but in certain aspects he got better. He was able to overcome a ton of adversity, but theres only so much a 19 year old can do. I couldnt imagine improvng when 90k idiots constantly boo you and never give you a chance and are calling fo your head. I strongly believe a lot of his problems were mental. He got in some bad slumps and our stupid fans didnt help him.

the way he brought us back against Auburn, the tying drive against Bama, the comeback against troy, and the end of the 1st/start of the 2nd half against Fla. if those things don't get you excited about this guy's future you're a retard.

amen, the south carolina game was impressive as well. I think he'll be a great player one day. Our fans just had way too high of expectations this year and have been spoiled with older, more mature and experienced qb play over the last few years.

Lee needs to play some more high school football to learn the basics -- or have better coaching at LSU -- he continues to make the same repeated mistakes. LSU should not be a learning field for basic QB'ing.

Instead of knocking Lee like I have the past week or so Im going to state why I like Jefferson over lee.
I like JJ for 3 reasons:
1. More REAL options in the playbook for Crowton. When I say real I mean realistically calling an option or a qb draw or a qb sneak or qb rollout run and expect positive results every time. Now the defense has to wonder and worry about this every snap along with the ball possibly getting thrown over their heads. A defense that thinks is one that hesitates......ala....Ohio St NC game.
2. JJ, from what Ive seen of him this year, seems to be unwilling to make a mistake. He doesnt want to throw the interception or force the issue. If it isnt there to him he takes off and runs or goes elsewhere. In the Arkansas game he just flat out refused to make that crucial mistake we have grown accustom to an LSU qb of making.
3. I noticed in the Arkansas game that JJ has a nose for the first down. There were like 3 plays where you see him running and you could easily tell the guy had "first down" on his mind. If he couldnt get it he would get as much yardage out of it as possible. To me that shows good field awareness. Just like he looked off the saftey to get the TD pass to Lafell.
I admit the guy isnt nowhere near perfect but these 3 things I really like about this kid.

JJ improved over the course and the year also. LOOK at the second half of the ARK game.
I don't post often, but I read a bunch of what you guys say. Neither QB has much experience. I believe JL gives us the best chance at a comeback victory if we need one. JJ should play if Georgia Tech doesn't load the box and our running game is consistent. JL is high risk high reward. Basically it is like playing the stock market.

I both agree and disagree with you slightly.
On the issue of JJ. I think when people say "improve" I think that is a misconception of the fact that from the first time they saw JJ on the field to the Arkansas.
The difference from the Tulane game to the Arkansas game was that he got to do more stuff. He may have been capable of doing it in the Tulane game but was limited due to coaches not feeling comfortable with where he is with the playbook. So I can see where that might get mixed up.
However I think JL has gotten PLENTY of experience this year........PLENTY. He has been in big games against big time teams both home and away. He's practically seen it all this year.

GT will put 8 in the box and try to shut down the run, so obviously we need a guy in there that can throw the ball down field. Lee is that guy.

there are pros & cons for both..i don't really think Lee should be bashed...based strictly on Wins & Losses in the SEC, Lee got it done...he won his first 2 SEC games at auburn & against miss st....and please arkansas was just as bad as both of those teams...he also beat a solid south carolina team....if he doesn't throw pick6s, he's had a great year
JJ on the other hand is more mobile & better fits crowton's playbook...plus he has a freakin cannon...i think JJ has more upside but as far as this game is concerned, JLee gives us the best chance to win IF he doesn't throw INTs...basically, i think it's a gamble to start Lee even though he'll give us our best opportunity

I agree. Actually, I hope that we rotate QBs to some extent. Apparently, Hatch isn't going to be ready, so I think that Lee will have to play some. I just don't have confidence that JJ can lead us to victory with his arm alone.

16 ints doesn't mean he can't throw the ball down field and if you watched any games this year you would know that Lee's strength.
