I have a LOT of respect for JL.
I like JJ, too, and really have no opinion about Shady's. I hope to learn more about what happened that nite and find it entirely plausible that JJ wasa a victim of his own celebrity. We just don't know, unless we are willing to rely on rumors.
There will be a time for real evidence on that matter.

Wilson, Bray, and Murray aren't even in the "upper echelon" of college QBs and Lee and JJ are probably a notch below these guys.
I consider the upper echelon of SEC quarterbacks this season (those 5 you mentioned) to be close to the upper echelon of the country. Lee/JJ have thrown 19 TD and 4 INT. As a whole (including Mett's game against NW St) LSU QBs have a rating of 155.57, which is 14th in the country. Is that not in the upper class of quarterbacking?
Georgia 13th
LSU 14th
Arkansas 24th
Is the fact that the Arky offense is based on the pass enough to say Wilson > Lee/JJ? I don't think so. Our guys have been more efficient this season.

Yeah, it's long been my belief that JJ/Lee are entirely average players, but if you look at the numbers, they are outstanding nationally, even.
Their rate stats are better than Wilson's... he's just thrown the rock a lot more.

Murray and Bray are the 2 best in the conference, in my opinion. It isn't much of a stretch to put JJ/Lee in the mix with Wilson as 3-5

Here's the Drew Alleman tweet stating saying that @lsuqb is not Jarrett Lee (see below.)
Posted due to the fact several LSU players were following @lsuqb even after he had just started tweeting. Drew Alleman, who is now no longer following @lsuqb, checked with Lee and found out it wasn't him.
My apologies to everyone for unintentionally misleading you.
LINK ... And, for those who can't access twitter, Alleman's tweet reads:
"It's a fact @lsuqb is not really the one and only J Lee. He is thinking about getting one soon tho."

the way the last 4 years have gone. He became the starting qb at LSU during his redshirt freshman year. That year was full of ups and downs, of which Lee faced the media with class after both good and bad performances, and by the last game of the year Lee was replaced as the starter with another freshman qb. In the next season, Lee got hardly any playing time at all. He did get one forgettable start due to injury. Despite the fact that he was almost certainly going to be only a back-up, Lee stuck with LSU. During his junior year, the starting qb struggled mightily for several straight games. Finally Lee was called in to replace the struggling starter, and Lee was very successful and helped LSU to a couple of comeback victories, and Lee also outperformed the starter during a "cupcake" game. Yet, Lee never regained the starting postion. Once the starter started playing better, Lee's role went from a "dual quarterback", to a true backup. In the bowl game, in Lee's home state, LSU wins comfortably, yet Jarret Lee, despite his key role in the season's success, only gets one snap to take a knee. Once again, Lee does not transfer, and stays at LSU. During his senior year, just a few days before the season opener vs a top 5 opponent, Jarret Lee becomes the starter when the other quarterback gets suspended. Jarret Lee helps to lead the Tigers to an 8-0 record in his time as the starting qb. Even with a poor performance at Alabama, and his subsequent removal as the starting qb, Jarret Lee has never caused any waves amongst his teammates and has been the ultimate team player throughout his career at LSU.
So that's what happened. I was wondering because I was in a coma for 3 1/2 years. Thanks for clearing that up for us.
