The problem is he tends to throw ball up and down the field at the same time. Never understood why so many people have faith in this kid. Didn't he throw a pick 6 in the spring game?

yes but that was on a screen pass and the defense knew the entire time what was happening

J.L. is accurate, even when throwing to defense!
J.J. is not accurate, even when throwing to offense!

J.J. will get us 9 wins and a bowl, maybe!
J.L. will get us 8 wins and possible SEC championship, maybe!

I'll take my chances with J.L.

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not.

Here are some stats I've compiled for both 08 and 09:

As you can see, JJ gets sacked about 3 times as often as JL. Despite that, he still throws TDs more often, throws WAY less interceptions, and he even averages more yards per attempt. This was with an extremely less productive ground game. If the o-line plays better, and JJ can get the ball out quicker, it appears that he is the better option at QB.

I don't really care who starts at qb as long as we win but I love how everyone uses Lee's stats from 08 to say he would suck this year. He was an 18 year old true freshman. Do you really think he will be the same as a 20 year old junior? Were you the same the first year on your job as you were in your third year? And for those of you still in college, were you as good a drinker your freshman year as you are, will be or were as a junior? I highly doubt it.

The thing is just with a better OL he can shed 10 sacks off of that total, and hearing talks of him acknowledging that he needs to step up more in the pocket and thrpwing mor deep balls, i can hope that his sacks will greatly diminish

He was a huge failure in both his Alabama and LaTech auditions for his spot back last year.

Lee was not an 18 year old true freshmen in '08.

Heck I'm sure deep down, we all can agree that we dont have a great QB situation with either one of them...neither one inspires alot of confidence until one of them can prove they can lead a group of men in the rugged SEC. So here is to hoping that at least one of them cant get it done!

he was a 19 year old redshirt freshman

still pretty young right? Guess who is 19 years old right now. Jordan Jefferson. As a 19 year old true soph JJ put up better numbers than a 19 year old RS frosh JL.

guess who ne'er got to take 100% of first team snaps. JL. Guess who had to play in a 2 QB system. JL.

Both QB's have excuses.

Thats a prett weak excuse

and I'm not making excuses for JJ

I'm just pointing out that using age as an excuse for JL is also weak

Which pick-sixes have you missed exactly?

What makes an interception a pick six?
Please explain.
