Yeah Buckwheat,no way in hell thise ints over the middle should have been returned for tds. Two bounced off receivers hands with no effort by receiver to tackle the guy. Look at the film and watch the piss poor effort by the offense to transition to defense as every guy who played hs football is taught to do.
not in all cases....
but you are right in some..absolute truth.
Also, most people forget the 2 parts of a receiver's job ..
1) Catch the damn ball
2) Make sure the other team does not catch the damn ball.
putting their head down after a drop in self-pity and bitching is not part of the receiver's responsibility.

you are pitiful...go ahead play the race card..
WTF does it have to do with seeing what happened in the field....
I remember Byrd being hit in the hands with a pass that he did not catch..then putting his head down while the defender ran the ball back for a Pick 6...
...
when you put your head down like that, it's like saying..oh, it's not my fault, oh, I am sorry.
PURE CRAP !...
do what you are supposed to do and prevent the other team from getting the ball...this is taught to receivers from Jr. High on.
...and before you say, as I said before, some of these were JLs fault, but let's be fair, there was enough blame to go around.
Like him / not like him, I do not care, the kid has BALLS for facing the music as he did.

quote:You mean the Bama game, when he was on the ground while the ball was being run back? Yeah, Byrd TOTALLY should have made the tackle from his back.

The fact is, it is patently absurd to blame the lack of tackling ability of the offense for Pick-6's.
Should the offense take time out of their practice schedule to run tackling drills? They probably did before the LA Tech game.

Sacks on JJ? Jefferson's fault.
INT's returned for TD's? Blame the WR's and everyone other than the QB.

Hard not to.
not true...EASY for you..it justifies things
Sacks on JJ? Jefferson's fault.
Some of them were.
A lot of them had to do with scheme and OL play and some with the D play of the other team.
INT's returned for TD's? Blame the WR's and everyone other than the QB.
Not true...Just the opposite.
YOU want to blame the QB for 100% and no one else.
, I guess it serves your purpose.
The QB has a lot of the blame, the receivers have some as well.
The play ends when the whistle blows, not when they fail to catch the ball/or the ball is thrown poorly.

First off, use the quote button, not the bold button. Makes for easier reading.
You never hear "The WR's/RB's/TE's/OL allowed a pick-6 in the game last night", do you?
No.
It's always "The QB threw a pick-6".
quote:Easy for anyone, when it is obviously true. Methinks the lady doth protest too much.

quote:That is who has ALWAYS been blamed for pick-6's in the history of forever. Unless you can provide me a link that shows otherwise. The problem is, you guys have moved the goalposts to protect Lee from his due scorn for his infamous NCAA career record.

For statistic purposes only...
not for PERFORMANCE EVALUATION....have you ever been in any kind of evaluation meeting ?
gotta go.

Tator Salad, I am at a loss. To try and force fee yet another "JL will rebound" thread is straight up pathetic. After watching his performance (including obvious emotional discomfort), I have written him off as far as starting/contributing (gamewise). He is a Tiger and bust his arse everyday, but he will remain a primary developmental squad player.
If he transferred, to SFA or any other smaller program, he may be able to salvage some of his playing career. Otherwise, he will wrap it up as a scout team guy (who has lettered)......no dishonor at all in that though. In the end he is still one of our Tigers.
/of career

Some difference between scared and stupid. How many times did you stick a hand in the fire? How many veggies do you produce by putting the team on a green QBs shoulders? Lee is damaged goods, get over it.

Lee deserves better than this thread.

I do believe that Lee could have a fantastic career as an assistant QB coach who throws a ton of passes in practices and scrimmages.

If J.Lee is so great, then why is JJ (a quarterback who alot of people on here criticize often) starting over him? Use some logic bra. If he was that good he would not have lost the starting position to JJ in the first place. noodle arm from harvard beat him out for the starting spot in 08. Get over it. The only way he will be a starter again is if JJ gets hurt.

Hopefully this is at a school that LSU plays against frequently.

Come on guys, I think most of you are being stupid here.
JL had tons of talent and knows how to play the game. The problem is that he was hung out to dry by some over agressive play calling from a OC that evidently doesn't develop QBs very well. His head just ins't in the right place any more....I bet everytime he gets in a game now he feels like he has to make up for an entire season with each individual pass.
