(MOBILE, Ala.) April 19 - The funeral for well-known local radio personality Ray-Ray Russell is set for this coming weekend. For the first time since his death Friday from heart complications, his mother is speaking out. She's hoping his death will inspire others to help save lives. To his radio fans Ray Ray was a familiar voice on 93-BLX for a decade. To football fans...he was a sideline reporter with a passion for the game. But to Bernice Russell.. Ray-Ray was her son... He was a giant in life and he wanted everyone, anybody, Bernice Russell says about her son, It didn't make a difference to him who you were, if he could help you, he would help you. And in her son's spirit of helping, Russell is asking others to help as well. Ray-Ray.. Arthur Ray Russell, Junior died Friday from heart complications. In 2005, he told his radio fans he would need a heart transplant. He was on a waiting list when he died. Ray would be so proud if every person would put a organ donor on their driver license.

their were several that were suspected, one was StripedMenace, I can't recall the other id(s). At a more appropriate time we can discuss the pros and cons of players family members like this participating on a message board.

Been identified as an organ donor since I got my first driver's license. I can't believe he was only 2 years older than me.

He was my age. Damn. Condolences to JR and the entire family.
Rodman make sure and tell JR that 99% of the LSU family is behind him and thinking of him during this tough time.
