All mock drafts currently have Smith going ahead of Chase. That could cost him a couple million bucks. I would definitely show that to these kids as reason number one NOT to opt out.

He just won the first biletnikof for LSU and was crucial for us winning a NC less than a year ago. You people are so dumb. I’d rather have chase for 2 years, with a NC than have him 0.

That mindset is why LSU loses underclassmen to the draft that Bama doesn’t.

Bama players get that 2nd contract their junior year

I just quickly scanned seven less than a week old mock drafts (3 by CBS, PFF, Walter Football, NBC and Sporting News). 6 of the 7 had Chase going higher.

I think a lot of you are underrating Devonta. He’s just as talented as Chase IMO

Sorry, besides josh reed. Point is the same. He was huge for us winning a NC.

I believe Chase could go to the combine and test out this world and people will remember oh yea this dude is a beast and he will jump back to number one.

I don’t hold anything against Chase. He decided weeks before the season and he was already a locked in top ten pick. He could have played this season and Smith still jump him because Smith played that lights out.

Its obvious that some of you want Smith to go before Chase because you're butthurt & mad at Chase because he didn't satisfy your LSU fandom this season. Every week for the last 3 month this type of thread pops up in here.

First it was Waddle going before Chase. Then he broke his ankle. Then it was Marshall going before Chase because he started off hot. He opted out. Now yall pushing the Smith narrative.

The NFL doesn't give a d@mn Chase opted out. The same reason they didn't care about Bosa opting out a couple years ago.

Do you think Bama's Leatherwood will go before Penei Sewell just because Sewell opted out?

I would be surprised if Chase gets picked over Devonta now.

Jefferson is having the greatest rookie WR season ever and Chase was the clear number 1

False, maybe some of you dumbasses think that a Biletnikoff automatically makes you better but if you’ve ever played ball you would realize that Jefferson had better hands, route running, and height. That translates better to the NFL.

Devonta is a DeSean Jackson 2.0, just not as fast. I know Chase opted out and hurted many LSU's fans feelings but Chase is a better pro prospect.

Again, I just looked at seven recent ones, none had Waddle before Chase. Not saying there isn’t a mock with your scenario, but it is not the norm.

Cgase did what he did as a Sophomore... Just think what he would have done as a Junior. Players tend to get better after their Sophomore year (stronger, faster, more mature). I suspect Chase is an even bigger beast than he was last time you saw him. (Assuming he's been working out and not sitting at Reggies.) I'd take Chase.

If Devonta was a top ten pick without playing this season he would have gone to the NFL draft last year.

Anyone who disagrees can tell me why.

Because he didn't.
