arse nugget, you just answered your own query. Tennessee isn't some SWAC team. They have an average five year recruiting ranking of 12 in the nation. They have talent along the line. Their defense was the 29th ranked scoring defense in the country. They loaded the box with nine players, occassionally playing a bear front with five down lineman. We simply did not have enough men to block the defenders. That has nothing to do with a failure to "blow inferior defenses" off the line.

How many rushing yards did we have at halftime? Why do you think Jefferson was inserted in the game? Tennessee was loading the box, and our offensive line was getting no push.

I put that on T-Bob. He got beat all day long. With out Lonergan playing we may struggle the rest of the year. But from your posts just on this thread I conclude sir: that you are a moron

I didn't realize that the game was over at halftime. When did they stop keeping stats at the half?

Are you retarded? I never said those stats don't count. I'm just arguing that because we couldn't push an inferior defensive line off of the ball in a conventional way, we had to insert Jefferson and run an option based attack to generate rushing yardage.

Wrong wrong wrong wrong. How many times do I have to say this? They outnumbered as at the line for most of the first half. The tackles were being made by fricking safeties who were walking up within three yards of the LOS. That has nothing to do with not getting push.

I've come to the conclusion that both teams are really just beating the shite out of glorified Big East teams this year. It's really nothing to get excited about, and in my opinion, both teams have major flaws that no team on the schedule can expose other than when they play each other.

LSU is the only loss for Oregon and WVU. Your analysis is flawed, at best.

I disagree. I've watched Bama all year run the ball on nine man fronts with success.

Before everyone goes crazy, Bama has deeper issues with their passing game than we have, and overall, I believe we have a better offense. However, their offensive line blows the nine men fronts to pieces.

WTF do your anecdotal and inaccurate observations of Bama have to with your equally inaccurate observations about today's game? The reason we had trouble running the ball against TENN in the first half today is because we were utnumbered at the LOS. With the exception of TBob, who was playing out of position, we weren't consistently being beaten in one one one match-ups. The safeties and LB's were unblocked. The reason JORDAN had success is because running the QB equalized the balance between blockers and defenders. Then, in one on one matchups, we got a TON of push. Enough.

The SEC is far from bad. The Big 12 is marginally better this year, if at all. This is only because several Big 12 teams are playing much better than they typically do, while several SEC teams are underachieving. Even with that said, the overall margin is razor-thin

I'd say so. As down as I believe the SEC is, the Big 10, outside of Wisconsin, is terrible. It's in horrible shape this year.

Yet the Arizona State team that you claim could "easily compete" with the TOP 3 SEC teams lost to the fricking Illini.

The contradictions mount.

SEC isn't bad, it has a couple of elite teams then a lot of mediocrity.

From top to bottom, I believe the Big 12 and the Pac 10 are both better than the SEC.

Are you serious??? Really...what are you looking to base this opinion?? Pac 10? Who has Stanford beat??? So. Cal. barely beat Minn., which in my opinion is the worst team in the country, bar none. LSU tore up Oreogone, their conference is garbage. The Big 12? OK St. came back against Tx A&M, but then so did Ark. Texas is weak, and OU? They were not exactly stomping Kansas, which is one of the worst teams in the country. Your arguement has no merit...are you on here just to stir up bullshite, because you make a shitty arguement.

Is logic not your strong suit?

On the one hand, you ardently claimed that ASU could "easily compete" with the Top 3 SEC teams.

On the other hand, you claim with equal assurance that the Big Ten, outside of Wisconsin, is "terrible." Hence, the Illini, not being Badgers, are "terrible," per your assessment.

Now, ASU lost to the Illini.

Hence, according your own arguments, ASU of the "deep" Pac-12 would be able to easily compete with the top ranked squads in the nation (Bama and LSU), but at the very same time lost to "terrible" Illinois.

Makes no fricking sense.

Apparently the entire country is under the same charade because everyone thinks LSU and Alabama are the best.

I'd like to know what conference is better then the SEC? The big 12 has OU OSU and A&M. While the SEC has LSU Bama and Arkansas. Those are the 2 strongest out there right now and I'd give the edge to the SEC.

All the sec teams we have played are at the bottom half of the list. We might have something with them doing so shitty.
