I’ve been trying to be positive about the coaches and this team

But this offense is terrible. We have no identity at all. Under CLM we at least could dominate teams with a power running game. Right now we don’t even have the ability to run it down an FCS opponents throat.
We still get scared and go to max protect when our oline can’t block...something we’ve seen as fans for years! Teams with far less talent spread the defense and use quick passes, screens, and runs to compensate for inferior oline play. How has that not even been an option for 10+ years. Our strength is wr and the best offenses try to get it to their skill players in space but no we decide to have 2 man routes usually outside the hashmarks. This is so damn frustrating...spread the defense and attack the middle of the field!! Hell SLU at least used some quick screens to attack us...one of the best defenses in the country.

I hate to agree, but I do. Our max protect is because our O-line cant block Southeastern which is unbelievable tbh. Run blocking is pretty good imo, pass blocking is atrocious. I dont care if it's our 1st string or not, our reserves should be able to protect the QB vs Southeastern.

Since we have no fullback I really thought it was going to be all about getting our skilled players the ball...so far I have not seen any indication that we are trying to do that. I just don’t know how you break from spring and fall camp and put this offense on the field. I don’t think we had one real drive on offense last night...a Hail Mary doesn’t really count to me.

Exactly the reason. This O has no identity, with a o coordinator who is controlled by the head coach who knows nothing about offense! This is a train wreck in the making unfortunately!!!!!!!

SLU doesn’t have one guy on defense that would be on our...or any SEC depth chart. 91 May show up as 2nd string on some of the weaker sec defenses.
