I don't think Miles is dumb enough to not start/play Mettenberger. The fans have been starved of decent quarterback play for sometime now. We all want him in at quarterback. Miles knows this. Even his isn't bizarre or crazy enough to meddle with it.

I think we'd all love to believe that, but until he proves otherwise, the presumption has to be that Miles will find a way to frick up the QB position.

In four years, he couldn't fix the problem. Even when the problem fixed itself with Jefferson's suspension, he wouldn't let it stay fixed.

The only QB decisions Les Miles has made in seven years as head coach that weren't total disasters were starting Jamarcus Russell over Flynn in 2005 and 2006 and starting Flynn over Perrilloux in 2007. Every other decision he has ever made about QBs has been a complete disaster. That he can still manage to win a lot of games despite this usually crippling weakness is a credit to the other aspects of his coaching, but no coach can get to the very top of his profession without at least some rudimentary ability to handle a QB situation. Hopefully, someday, Miles will show some.

should we complain more or is it time for us to get lives and move on?

Can you imagine if Steve Spurrier had JJ and JL as his only QB's for 4 years

That's the thing. Either they'd play better, or he wouldn't have them as his only QBs.

I'm amazed how well we did the past 2 years with 2 below average QB's

I don't think Lee was below average the last two years. He was probably average or maybe a little above. In '08 and '09, yes, I'd agree he was below average. Jefferson is a different story, of course. Well below average from day 1 through 1/9/2012.

Over the last two years, with below average QB play, defined as those games in which Lee either didn't play or played but didn't make any significant contribution, we were maybe 3-1 in 2011 and maybe 8-2 in 2010. I know Lee played a lot and made a key difference vs. Florida, Tennessee and Bama in 2010, but I'm not sure which other games.

We're due. We've been suffering through the whole Jefferson/Lee debacle for 4 years now.

Miles has, not just through his actions, but through public proclamation said he makes the decisions not the fans. So for you to make the statement above shows that you haven't been paying attention. He has always done what HE wanted to and will continue to do so.

CLM has had his hand, head and posterior in the middle of the offense since his very first year here. Why do any of you think he will change?
