1-1, with a 21-0 blowout on our home turf with the offense you're suggesting we run.

Most LSU fans have very unrealistic expectations ... just sayin'.

I was more than content with what I saw from Mett last night ... for the first time in the last 4 years I saw an LSU QB hit a WR on the screen in-stride and with zip on the ball. JL scared the hell out of me when he threw that pass because it looked like he was aiming it ... JJ would either throw it in the stands or in the dirt. I also saw glimses of a vertical passing game (the pass to Boone was perfectly placed).

Beating the other best team in football is such a drag.

Ok man. Glad you were able to get pumped for a game we "barely won."

In college football playing great defense and having a solid running game wins a lot of games. Bama does it too. Hell when the Saints run the ball well it makes them unbeatable. I am convinced the threat of Mett throwing down the field and completing a few passes here and there kept the running game open. Problem is North Texas ain't the SEC. No more penalties, protection problems, and cut out the bad interceptions.

You know how there's a secret book new Presidents read? Les Miles has a playbook like that. It's only a matter of time until the secrets are revealed.

Dude is acting like we should beat Bama every time we play them. Unrealistic.

It was his first D1 start. Do you think the gameplan was put together to give him some confidence with all the short throws? What the pass to Shep that was called back?

Oh lord. Don't put words in my mouth. Our ultimate goal is a championship right? We have the personnel to achieve that goal.

Are you saying we should just keep this gameplan which may or may not get us to our goal and just go with it because it works against most of our schedule?

Either way it's working, I'd like to see some shots down the field but against a team like UNT it's fine. I mean we have a dominant defense and probably the best RB corp in the nation

I'll take the one that wins the SEC title and gets us to the national championship. Undefeated regular season too. Sure.

Sorry I'm happy with that. Guess I'm just stupid.

...and dominate them while we do it. Barely beating the best coach, and one of the best teams in football, isn't good enough for some of the fans.

Are you saying that we should junk the game plan that worked over 90% of the time last year for a new and untried one that may, just may work?

Is that your point?

The gameplan that has us 3-3 against a team that good? Yeah, I'm comfortable with it.
