We did not look like last years team and the people that are saying that don't know what the hell they are talking about. Last year we were out of position and confused and running around pre-snap not knowing where to line-up. This year players were lined up correctly and playing aggressive. After watching the game again, the biggest problem might have been our DE's playing too aggressive and crashing down too much and losing contain. They have to follow technique better and keep contain. That can be fixed. Also, a lot of times we created running lanes for their RB by some players getting too much penetration and not staying in control. I think we are much closer to being much better on defense than what the yards we gave up indicate.

the fact is, we struggled against a bad team on the road, while UGA was in the game and played a tough against a top 10 team on the road

I guarantee that UW will have a winning this year.

All the sunshine pumpers are also saying the same thing as last year.

I'm not negative and im not a pumper but man if there is one common theme right now it's..... things will get fixed. I'm pretty sure we heard that all last year too.

For the record, I'm not worried until I see this Saturday. After Vandy I will make my conclusions on where I stand for this year.

Either way I will 110% support my Tigers!

"Sunshine Pumpers." I like it. Will have to add that to my listing of alternative names for all the POSI-Tigers.

In terms of poor tackling technique, being out of position, poor angles, and soft coverage we looked EXACTLY like we did last year. At least in the 1st half. I will concede some adjustments were made in the 2nd half and they looked a BIT better, but certainly did not represent the LSU defense opponents have come to fear.

Ask any Nebraska fan, if they got the right coach from LSU, and it won't be Miles.

I have not been a Miles hater (in fact, quite the opposite); however, I am beginning to have some reservations with some of his coaching decisions. The one that sent me over the edge was the timeout debacle at the end of the first half. Even if we had prevented them from getting a first down the clock would have run out. We did nothing but extend the half for them with absolutely no upside for ourselves.

100% correct.
Good decisions = Good decisions
Bad ones = Bad ones

whether one likes or dislike the coach,
the facts are the facts....

and we have made some questionable decisions.
At least these two timeouts did not cost us.

The fact is...with all the great numbers Miles has since he's been at LSU, what has happened. He cleaned house last year, now what. He is after all the head coach. He is in control of the play book, he does have say, as to what plays are being called during the game. Is it he needs "GREAT" coaches in order for him to put big numbers up on the score board. Can he control his coaching staff. Was the past seasons really him calling and making great plays or was it Fisher..etc doing it. We have the talent and had to talent last year. But it takes more than talent to win football games..it takes coaching! Not a hater just that action speaks louder than words, only time will tell. Just asking?
