I was fascinated by the persisting presence of Gaelic there, on signage along with English & its own cable channels.
Great scenery, especially the churches (one of which contains the remains of the famed Viking-era archer Strongbow).
The famed Oscar Wilde statue, which is painted so, well, gaily.
Great pubs, the old prison, the Guinness brewery, etc., very cool place.
