4.4 yards per attempt. We ran levels concepts on third down twice and each time he threw it to the guy underneath and short of the first down. He doesn't have the arm to throw it to the second level bc of this he will check every pass down. We are playing in a box with either qb. People will still stack the line. I would roll with Harris bc he at least has the ability to go over the top.

Let Etling start and play the first half. Let Harris start the 2nd half and finish the game. Etling seems to come out of the locker room after halftime flat and inaccurate. Maybe Etling finishes the HUNH in 2 min situations.

Harris comes out to start a game over-hyped. I think that he will be solid letting the game play out and coming out un-hyped in the 3rd.

Very High!!!

Etling ain't that much better than Harris. He misses wrs and the too. Hell....he missed Desean Smith for a game winning TD in actual regulation.

I don't see the fascination with Etling. Smdh! Backup Qb Glory I guess.

Explain how it's comedy? Did we hit a pass over 15-20 yards against AU? 4.4 per attempt good lord man now that is comedy. 118 yards of passing now that's comedy. That fumble that's comedy.

Look, the thing that's clear, is that in order to really dig in the playbook, we have to be able to complete passes in early down situations.

Harris inability to lead a sustainable drive limits the offense tremendously. Since Etling has started, we've seen some formations and stuff we haven't seen in a while.

If we ran an offense like we ran that 2 minute drill, LSU is 3-0 and we're looking for Bama.

The comedy is you saying all he can do is check down because he doesn't have the arm to make the throw to the called route. It's asinine.

The stats back it up that he can't make the throw. The game tape says he can't make the throw. The ball hangs up and floats an eternity. He threw a floatie behind Chark on a crossing route. He hung up a floatie that should have been picked to Dural. shite the ball floated on his TD to Chark against MSU.

So the pass that he rifled in the first half of Auburn game didn't happen? According to you, he doesn't have the arm.

At least Etling's passes are in the same fricking zip code as his receivers.

On the other hand, he could be sailing every 2-7 yard pass to the bench warmers.

What pass was that? He doesn't have ability to stretch the filed. So guess what safeties play close and shrink the field.

Danny Weurffel won a Heisman and a national championship floating passes. Passing isn't all Arn strength, it's timing. I'm not calling Etling another Weurffel, but I do like that he has scrambled for a few first downs and he seems to work his progressions to take what the defense is giving you. Cam Cameron's offense needs a rocket arm because most of the routes are stop routes or deep go's and posts.

He is a better QB than Harris though, by a pretty obvious margin.

Lol no.

He may be slightly better, but he is incapable of completing a pass over 10 yds.

Danny ran the Run and Gun. Wide open spread it out. 4 to five wide. No Te. We don't do that here. Drew Bree's is the only average arm Qb that has succeeded with cam and that bc of his supreme accuracy on every throw.

Read your whole post again I agree .

And I'm gonna be ESPN Stat Tracker and it says 4.4 yards per attempt.

Build packages around each of their strengths and use them both.

Etling hasn't looked great, but watching him move around in the pocket compared to Harris speaks volumes about who the better QB is.

Harris talent is still raw, which is incredible since he's been out of HS for a couple of years now. Harris may have the better upside, but I don't think he'll ever get there.

LNCH, come on man, we haven't opened up the field with Etling back there. That could be coaching, OL failure, play calling, etc., but we're not a threat past 15 or so yards in the last few games.

No one is ignoring Harris's struggles with 10 yard hitches, but I believe he was 2-2 on screens this year and has a few dump off passes too that had nice touch. His issue is he's ethier tossing it or its a lazer and not much in between. Surely we can acknowledge that Etling does those things well but has struggled to stretch the field for whatever reason.
