I see statements similar to this on here all the time. Every Cowboy fan I know to a person knows the Cowboys suck. And I live in Dallas so know a lot of them.....including myself.

The consensus seems to be that it is a terrible idea to put an outstanding man coverage corner in a cover 2 system and wonder why he isn't doing what he did in the man-scheme.

I'd say that covers it. And he's had terrible luck with injuries, everyone else on the defense is horrid, and I'm pretty sure his father just died in the last day or so.

I disagree with the consensus. Claiborne is a great shut down corner, but that does not mean he cant succeed in a cover 2 system. Every coordinator has slightly different system and it takes time for it to become instinctive. With the injuries, he simply has not had enough work. He may end up being a bust in that system, but it would be a great waste of talent.

Condolences to the Claiborne family.

FWIW the Cowboys have several guys on the field that probably shouldn't even make an NFL roster.

Danny McCray is not one of those guys, but he has started way more games with Dallas than he did at LSU.

That should tell you something about the skill level of the players around Claiborne.

Yeah, it's really been a perfect storm working against him. I hope he can get out of that disaster of a franchise, or maybe Jerruh will die off soon.

Mo' has a reading disability. You are a real piece of shite if you are making fun of his wunderlick score.

The guy can straight ball. He's not in the right scheme

Mo Claiborne is not successful enough yet to deserve a bust. Give it time son, give it time.

I find Mo to be too injured too often to even tell how good or bad he is as a pro. He hasnt lived up to the hype and draft position, but with so many injuries, at least to me, its hard to call him a bust. If he were healthy and just sucking it up, he would be a bust, but he has missed too much time to really tell. Need more of a sample size to make a conclusion.

ETA: His agent came and talked to our class last year, right after he was drafted. His agent told us Mo left the Wunderlich test early because he had a doctors appointment about his wrist which he had a procedure done on. Haha He said he filled in the first few answers but got up and left to make his appointment.
