6 seconds should be max, but jefferson on regularity goes 8 plus, maybe some of those sacks wouldnt have happened if he would have gotten the ball out

The rule of thumb is actually 4 seconds, which is a long time. I thought that JJ held the ball too long sometimes, and waited too long to run sometimes (maybe I'm in the minority), but this judgment is tempered with this - he was hit many times right before, or right at the end of his drop, maybe 2 seconds total time after the snap.

It's probably fair to lay the blame for the sacks roughly equally in thirds - 1/3 to the OL, 1/3 to Jefferson himself and 1/3 to the coaching staff. There's plenty of film to look at, and examples of "what not to do", so here's looking forward to improvement in 2010.

The option plays are killing our offense. Sometimes we look like 1970's Nebraska & that doesnt seem to work for us

FWIW, we have NEVER looked like 1970's Nebraska. They ran a power option and actually knew how to run it. We run a spread option and not even our coaches know how to run that shite.

Spread option is different from power option. Plus Jefferson was getting better at it but hurt his ankle. No worries though because he will correct his technique.

LSU recruits finesse skill players and trys to run a power offense.

FAIL

Crowton calls way too complicated plays with 5 seconds left of the clock and it's a clusterfrick.

the offense is an anomaly wrapped in a riddle.

I think it's forcing a square peg in a round hole deal.
Our O-line couldn't block for option, short side or long.
The option takes a lot of practice time and right personnel to be productive.
It's no mystery our pro style QB had little success with it.
I'm sure JJ cringed every time it was called.

He is the kind of man who has to make up a new ID so he can crap all over LSU players and coaches.

He is a loser!

Iwonder how many actually that post this junk have played the position.Face it JJ has no sense of timing or rhytme at the present time. Will it get better possible but the instinct to get rid of the ball is on him not the line.FACE IT he has yet to show he is a true leader not saying he cant eventually but right now he sucks at it .

You waste your first post on this crap. JJ led his team to 9 victories with a shitty O-line and O-coordinator. Miles cost him his 10th win at Ole Miss (maybe 11 if you count Penn St.) all in JJ's first full year under center. what did you want him to do in his first year, win the NC, Heisman, and BCS MVP? Stupid Newbie.
