nobody here has a clue as to how good chris garrett is. i would hope that he's good since we spent a scholarship on him, but i'm not about to crown him as anything yet.

seems like people around here are pretty hard-up for a white starting quarterback.

player analysis done on a PC at home > player analysis done by coaches

you should know that by now

I think most people who attended the spring game came away impressed with Garrett. The kid stood out. What is wrong with being happy knowing LSU has a promising looking QB for the future? It is not a black white thing so don't even bring that junk up in here. And I am addressing the person who did.

If LSU were play a game tomorrow, and JJ got hurt, JL would go in. After spring and fall practice, the fans are expecting Garrett to assume that role. I certainly do, as a minimum.

I do not expect Garett to beat out JJ even though from what I hear, he is more talented, because Miles places more emphasis on seniority and experience than he does on true talent.

If this is true, why didn't JL start last year?

Based off the La Tech game, JL wouldn't have lasted long as the starter.

Hopefully JJ will benefit from the Gonzo hiring and he will be better. The scary part to me is that JJ didn't improve as the year went on. With that said I think if CG has a better spring than JL, he will be the backup.

Well considering that your post was based on JJ not improving all seaon, when in fact , he got better at reading pre snap defenses, moving up in the pocket and throwing the deep ball. It was obvious you didn't know much about football since you couldn't see any improvement all season. you just spew out some bull you saw typed on this site.

Depth chart hasn't came out yet. Maybe he will win it, maybe he won't. That is why they practice.
