I don't think that's what he was talking about. In a split 4-4, the Mike and Will are lined up in the middle of the field on opposite sides of the center.
He made it seem like defenses played this mythical 4-2-5 defense where the Mike and Will stunted to the outside of the Tackles basically turning it into a 6-0-5.

A nickel package (not coverage, arse wipe) is when you have 5 DBs in the game instead of the normal 4 DBs. It is like having an extra CB or Safety in the middle of the field.
BUMP AND RUN HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE LINEMEN!!!
Bump and run is when a Cornerback lines up real close to the line of scrimmage and directly in front of the WR. At the snap of the ball, the CB will reach out and jam (hence, the BUMP) the reciever to disrupt the timing and/or direction of his route. The jam (or Bump) is only for a half-second to a second long. Then the CB will turn and RUN with the receiver in order to provide coverage.
