Those are one and the same dude. Recruiting is the process in which a student athlete chooses his school. This board has zero influence whatsoever on anyone except for those getting pissed off about it.
You are completely missing the point

Can we get CLM a lifetime contract?

Recruiting was the subject. Since you mentioned his record however, it looks like he ran off 2 undefeated regular seasons in a row and is playing for the crystal again this Thurs. Not bad for taking over a mediocre program, which is pretty much were LSU is headed with Miles.

Think he got paid enough already for several lifetimes ...

No one needs to use message board chatter or even fanbase crap to negatively recruit against Miles. All they need to do is show them our game film.
You think an 18 year old stud QB really cares that Tiger fans booed Jefferson when he struggled or Lee when he threw pick 6s? No, because that 18yo has been told he's the best thing since sliced bread all his life, and he doesn't believe he'll ever struggle or throw INTs. He walks on water and just sees an opportunity to be a starter when he out-plays that other guy.
But show that same kid footage of Sheperd riding the pine while his team falters... He might think twice.

I love how it seems a lot of you want to see us decline. Great fans

I don't remember it being this bad after last season

I don't "want to see us decline", I'm pissed as hell that I'm watching us decline!

Bad Cat, if I didn't know better, I would think you were a fan of one of our rival schools...

I don't have a lot of faith in the current staff, but hope they can get it together. Miles always brings in talent and it alone has carried LSU. Looks like this year will be a top ten class and next year looks even better.
Talent alone will give LSU 7-9 wins a year.

7-9 wins may have been acceptable for a DiNardo coached team; but the times, coaches salaries, and fan expectations, have changed dramatically.

I would like to get your opinion on this Chicken. What do you think about this, rallying behind the coaches and helping the fanbase

Ah. A true fellow rantard even if he can't admit it. The point of the poster: SHUT UP YOU @#?%$S. Welcome!
So unrealistic. First, this ain't no recruiting tool. Second, these are the private thoughts of people that care about LSU football, and it is an extreme idea to tell people what they can't think. (Clue: People don't use their real names here.) I am sure I could come up with several more reasons, but it is time for bed. Early meeting.

I remember as a kid going to the games and loving every aspect of it (through the late 80s-90s), no matter what. We were so much worse a program but the fan support was like I never seen
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You're right..I was there during those years and much earlier. We've had season tickets since I was a young child and I've experienced many great times in Tiger Stadium.
When the powers that be at LSU decided to hire a coach and pay him one of the highest salaries in the country the transformation began and not just of the program but of the fanbase.
Just as the program's stature and national reputation grew so did the expectations of the fanbase.
Unrealistic? Maybe, but they have experienced the ultimate for their team...the NC and the fear is always there that the program may slip back into mediocrity.
It's true that some fans are too quick to condemn and ridicule and they go too far when they target players in personal attacks. However the LSU coaching staff is extremely well paid for their services and if they don't earn those salaries...they're fair game IMO.

i agree with this. but i just think the fans or at least the rantards make it a little worse

You're probably correct...I guess its one of the ramifications of having the technology available where fans can instantly throw out their opinions to the whole world.
I can remember my Dad spewing over Charlie Mac...thank God there was no Rant then. He would definitely have earned "rantard" status.
